His Unwanted Human Mate

Chapter-3

Jason's POV:

I woke up early today and so did every member of the pack. It's the day, the vibe can be felt in the air. The Blue Moon Day. The previous Blue Moon Day happened when I was a kid and after so many years, it's today again.

Dad, our beloved Priston Blue will be back by afternoon and till then I took the responsibility for the event today, as I said before.

The legends say that whatever you wish on the blue moon day comes true. I ain't decided on my wish, maybe I will till night.

The packhouse is filled with people, everyone is involved in one thing or the other. Everyone fasts today and eats after seeing the moon. I heard a whistle from outside. I moved the blinds to see who it was and smiled to myself looking at the person.

Amy, I wave my hand at her.

"Come down" she signaled with her hand.

"You know we are wolves and we have an ability called mindlink, just letting you know" I mindlinked her.

"Haha, funny. I want to be more human, you know" she rolled her eyes.

I opened the window, jumped out of it, and landed before Amy.

Her face looked like she almost had a panic attack. She hit me. "You i***t, it's dangerous" she yelled.

"You can't yell at Jason, Amy. And moreover, we are wolves, we have some caliber"Dany replied, coming from behind.

"Here comes Jason's pet" Amy muttered under her breath and given the wolf senses we heard it.

"Yeah, that's what I was reminding her just a couple of seconds before. Looks like your sister is having a short time memory loss" I chuckled.

The one thing Amy can't take is making fun of her. She gets serious and sulky at times. She thinks she has to be strong all the time, and she is.

She gave each of us a look, more like she was shooting daggers at us and left that place.

"We made her angry, once again" Dany spoke.

"Seems like we need to work on this now," I say and we run behind her.

"Amy, we are sorry ok, please forgive us, "we both say to her. Now we three are at the lake house.

"I know we are wolves, and I know we are strong but I am trying to live like a human. You know right? We are starting our new school at the human land?" she asked.

Here comes the best part I like about her, Amy's thoughts are always a step ahead of others, she is so sensible. Her point seems valid now. Dad made us join a school in the human land. He wants us to be in the middle of humans and adapt their behaviour so that it would be easy for our survival in the future.

It's our first time going to human school, many wolves of our pack and neighboring packs are attending school in human lands this time.

I smile at her and ruffle her air."Smart and thoughtful like always" I say.

"I don't need your praises," she said.

"My sulking princess, can you please stop it?"Dany said.

She looked at both of us and then turned to the other side.

"OK, I heard that there is the best ice cream place beside our school, I thought of treating you there but now it seems like you are not gonna talk to us, any time soon," I said.

Her eyes lit up by listening to the word ice cream. She is a sucker for desserts and especially ice creams.

"Ok, this one time I am gonna let it slide," she said and in no time I and Dany wrapped our arms around her shoulder.

"So what are the plans for tonight?"Dany asked.

"Run to the mountain peak as usual and feast and the main part, making a wish"I replied.

"What are you wishing for?"Amy asked.

"Not yet decided"I replied.

"Will go and see if the pack needs any help in the arrangement"I got up and Dany followed me.

*Night*

We all gathered at the clearing for the feast.

"I can't wait to eat, "Amy said for which Dany chuckled "Other than Training and feeling hungry what else you can do?" he asked.

For which she glared at him and with a smile"I can break your bones" she replied.

I smiled wide, "That's my girl. Now don't worry about your hunger. After the Alpha speech, we can start the dinner" I replied.

"Can't wait" Dany said.

"Thank you everyone for gathering here and making the best out of today. Yet again it's that time of the month where we thank the moon goddess for looking after us and showing her our gratitude.

As its the Blue Moon Day, a special day for our pack. Wish upon the Moon at the midnight and the wish shall come true " he said "And yeah be thankful for the mate she bestowed to us. Always remember without mate you are nothing, you are not full." he ended the speech and soon the air is filled with applauds.

That's rich coming from you sire, I thought to myself.

"I can't wait to find my mate" Amy smiled.

"Me as well" came Arthur's voice. "Boy, we got time for that, a lot"I roll my eyes at him. How can I tell him that I am not interested in finding any mate? But today Arthur is being weird, he is happy I can sense that and excited as well.Pacing in my head, maybe excited for the run like me, I thought.

"So much excited to leave us?"Dany raised his eyebrow.

Amy's smile drop "Who said that I will leave you after meeting my mate?" she asked.

"Isn't how the thing..." I stopped him in the middle. "We have a lot of time for that and firstly why don't we look at the menu? The smell is tempting me already," I say and pull my best friend, each of my sides.

we had till our belly full. The food was more yummy, maybe because we are hungry from the morning.

It's finally time for the best part of the night. The run.

We all gathered at the clearing. I look at my dad and mom. Dad is worried and staying back for security purposes. Mom told me that once on the Blue moon night an attack happened on the pack as everyone are busy and since that day, dad made sure that the security is tight around the borders.

My mom does the running during normal full moon days but not on the Blue Moon day. She has her reasons. Pulling all these aside "Ready?" I asked Arthur.

"Born ready" he replied and I let out a chuckle.

I got onto one knee "Alpha, Luna please give me the permission to lead the run"I bow to them.

"Run to the peak and make us proud with your howl. Let Moon goddess hear that"he said with a smile. Maybe I can smile and be normal with him but my anger will stay the same.

"Thank you" I bow to them and got up. Walked to the front.

"Daniel" I yell his name out.

"Everyone in the stance," he said and got to my side, Amy stood on the other side.

We three shared a glance and nodded.

The air filled with the bone's cracking sound. Arthur let out a howl as he got free. Merlin made happy sounds by seeing Arthur. I look at both of them from the back of my head. As crazy as Dany is about me, it goes the same with his wolf. Can you believe he named his wolf merlin because my wolf's name is Arthur?

I started running and everyone ran behind me. The run felt refreshing as it had been a long while but I can feel Arthur is anxious for some reason.

Soon we reached the mountain top and I stood at the edge and let out the loudest howl, paying my respects to the moon goddess. Everyone else howled as well.

"It's time for the wish Jason," Arthur said.

"This time I will let you make the wish, "I say.

Arthur closed his eyes.

Arthur's POV:

"Moon Goddess, Thank you for pairing me with such a smart kid. He is balanced mentally and thinks in every perspective," I say.

"My wish is to get my mate soon" I prayed.

Jason's POV:

Finally after a minute or so he opened his eyes. "What did you wish for?" I ask him.

"Your happiness" he replied.

He did what? I can't believe his words, cos he got the talent to twist the words.OK, will believe him this time.

"Thanks, buddy," I say.

Everyone started to make their way back to the pack.

Ashi's POV:

I got up as I heard the announcement of the pilot. I opened my eyes to be hit by the bright light of the LED. I adjusted my eyes and turned around to find my uncle. He is in the washroom maybe. I opened the window shade to look outside.

The sky is blue and then the beautiful sight of the moon came into the view. It's so beautiful. I am a selenophile. I am attracted to the moon, I feel comfortable and at peace in the presence of the moon.

"Please moon, give me strength, give me some love" I close my eyes.

"We are about to land. Take your stuff" came my uncle's voice.

I nod at him. I started being anxious. I can feel my heart rate growing and I feel like I am being out of breath. Why am I feeling like this? It never happened. Maybe these are the signs of anxiety?

"What happened? Are you alright?"My uncle's face is now worried.

I don't want to bother him more. He already took my burden. "Nothing to worry"I assured him.

We got off the plane and a big SUV came to pick us up. I am sure my uncle is damn rich, that's what I feel.
