Chapter 5

AUDREY'S POV "Closer, Travis pull Scarlett closer to you and put your arms on her waist. Scarlett, place your hands on his nape and look at his eyes seductively," I did as the photographer said. I wrapped my arms around Travis' neck and he pulled me closer to him, leaving no space between us. He looked at my eyes and I did the same. We looked like lovers who are having an intimate moment with each other. I bit my lips and looked at him seductively while his eyes locked on mine. "Perfect! Let's call this a day," the photographer finally announced. "Congratulations to both of you! You did a great job!" Tessa greeted us. She ran to us and hugged us tightly. We were all happy with the result. It was such a productive day. While people may think that modelling is an easy money kind of job, it's actually a tough job. Being a model, you must also learn how to act and portray in front the camera. You need to look convincing and believable. "Thanks to Audrey for being so professional. She's indeed perfect for this ad," Travis added and he put his arms around my shoulder as we headed back into the tent. "Get your hands off my wife," came Liam's dangerous tone. We all stopped on our tracks and turned to him. I was shocked to see the emotion displayed on his face. His eyes were burning with anger and something I cannot name. Was it jealousy? But that would be impossible. "I'm sorry, my bad!" Travis said apologetically. He immediately let me go while I stayed rooted to my place. I couldn't find the right words to say. "Let's go home, mi amore," his voice sounded sweet but his eyes looked cold and dangerous. "I-I'll just get my things," I stuttered as I fumbled to arrange my things. "I'm sorry guys, I really have to go. I'll just catch up with you some other time," I bid goodbye to them. Liam was standing pissed outside the tent and he looked irritated. I walked over to him without saying a word. His presence is enough to silence me. "Follow me to the car," he commanded. "But I brought my car," I argued. "You'll follow me into my car or I'll smash your car?" He pulled me towards him and whispered those words into my ears. I could feel my knees trembling at his touch. My breathing hitched and I felt like I was going to faint. Heat immediately consumed my body. I looked away, no matter how badly Liam treated me, I can't deny the effect he had on me. I walked slowly behind him. As soon as he opened the door of his Mercedes-benz, I sat on the passenger seat. He turned around and sat on the driver's seat before starting his car. The cold air-conditioning inside the car made me feel chills, realizing I had not changed back into my clothes. I was still wearing my bikinis and a see-through cover-up. I opened my bag to look for a jacket, but there's none. Liam threw his coat to me before eyeing me. His eyes were dark with anger and lust. I gasped, this was the first time he looked at me with such fire and desire. "Wear it," he simply said and focused on driving again. He didn't look at me again, and it made me wonder what he think of me. When we reached the house, I immediately got out of the car and ran inside into our room. I hurriedly went upstairs and took a shower. I was wearing a robe when I got out of the bathroom. Liam was sitting on the couch, his eyes darted on me. I froze, seeing how he looked at me like I am some kind of delicious meal he wants to feast on. I moved slowly, walking to the direction of the walk-in closet. But before I could take a step, Liam quickly walked in my direction. He stopped in front of me and held me tightly, making me shiver from the sudden contact. I don't know what's going on with him, but I was surprised to see him acting this way. He acts as if he's so possessive of me. And for a moment, I wished it was true. "No one. No one is f*****g allowed to see your body other than me, do you understand?" He said with his hoarse voice, giving emphasis to the latter. I gulped when he started to touch my shoulders. I shivered at his touch, it's awakening something warm inside me. He continued to caress my arms, moving his hands to a rhythm, making my legs wobble. "L-Liam, what are you doing?" I managed to ask even though I was stuttering. He moved his face closer to me and smelled my neck. I walked backwards but he kept on walking towards me. His gaze held me captive and I couldn't look away. He's melting me with his stare, making my insides tingle, and hypnotizing me. "L-liam, stop!" I tried to shout but my voice drowned and became a whisper. I stopped when I felt the wall behind my back. I'm trapped! "Hmm, don't you want your husband to be this close to you? Why?" He said as he continued to torture me with his presence. I gasped audibly when he kissed my shoulder blades, gently nibbling it. I felt his tongue playing along my collar bones, licking and gently sucking the top of my breasts. I gasped as a tingling sensation awaken inside me. I closed my eyes and a soft moan escaped my lips. "L-liam..." "Hmmm... You smell so divine, Audrey. I didn't know you'd grow up to be this sexy. Did you like it? Did you like how that man wrapped his arms on your waist like this?" he asked as he pulled me closer to him and wrapped his arms on my waist. I gathered all my force and pushed him. I looked at him angrily. His words rang in my head. I hate how manipulative he is. I hate how he made me feel guilty, like I was the one cheating in this relationship, when it was him who enjoyed another woman's company. "Why are you suddenly acting like this? I'm nothing to you, right?" I shouted at him. I was trembling out of anger. How dare him! "Stupid, Audrey! You're bearing my surname, do you think I will just let you flirt around? Let another man touch you? There's no f*****g way I'm gonna allow that! You're mine and mine alone! You get that, wife?" He retorted. Why does it have to be so f*****g unfair? Tears started falling as I scream in silence. "You know I'm not doing anything wrong, don't you, Liam? Travis is just a co-model and a close friend of mine. Please don't punish me for your own mistakes!" I said before I passed him and get to the walk-in closet while I silently cried. I changed into a simple jeans and a T-shirt. I dried my hair and walked out of the room bringing my bag. And since I didn't have my car with me, I had no choice but to walk until the gate of the subdivision where I hailed a cab. I gave Chanel's address to the driver. I wore my shades to hide my face. My phone rang, showing Liam's name on the caller ID. I canceled his call and turned my phone off. For once, I want to forget about Liam. When I reached Chanel's condominium, I immediately got out of the cab and paid the driver. I got into the elevator and stopped on her floor. She's the only one who'll understand me right now. I know I came here unexpected but I badly need a friend right now. I stopped in front of her Unit and knocked. A few moments later, she opened up the door with her messy hair and pajamas. Judging from her looks, she might have just woke up. I threw myself to her and sobbed on her chest. "Hey, come in," she pulled me inside her unit and let me sit on the couch. She stood up and went into the kitchen to get me a glass of water. I continued to sob while she pat my back. "Why is he so unfair, Channie?" I said in between my sobs. "We had an argument over my work. I went to a photoshoot earlier today, but unfortunately, Liam was there. I didn't know he was a part-owner of that resort," I explained. "You know Travis, right?" I asked and she nodded in response. "He's my friend and we were really close. But Liam thought I was flirting with him. How could I when he's the only guy I wanted? The only guy I ever dream of? The only guy who made my heart flutter?" I sobbed helplessly again. "That bastard! I'm almost losing my patience on him, Drey. You don't deserve that piece of s**t!" Chanel said angrily. I didn't say a word anymore. No matter how I convince myself that Liam is no good, my heart simply wouldn't stop loving him. I wanted so bad to liberate my heart from him, but how? How can I when his name is already engraved in my heart? "I love him, I really do. Chan, I did try to stop loving him but it won't work. My heart is so stubborn," I replied weakly. "Piece of advice, leave something for yourself. The way I see it, loving him will only destruct you. Don't let him take everything away from you, Audrey," I could hear the seriousness in Chanel's voice. Maybe she's getting tired with all our drama, I couldn't blame her, though. We sat still until I calmed myself. Later on, we decided to watch some movies. I chose the movie while Chanel looked for something to cook in her fridge. We were in the middle of a movie marathon when Chanel's phone rang. Her forehead creased as she answered the call, motioning for me not to talk. "What is it, Liam?" my heart doubled its pace when I heard his name. "What? She's not here! Where did she go, Liam?" she shouted over the phone and I almost clapped my hands, such a good actress. She must have learned that from Theatre during college. "Fine, I'll go look for her too. I'm telling you Liam, if anything happens to my best friend, I'll send you to hell!" she said, threatening him. "Why didn't you tell him I was with you?" I asked her curiously. "b***h, that would be too easy for him. I want to see him getting crazy looking for you everywhere," she then laughed wickedly. "I don't think he'll go looking for me, Chan. He said it himself, I'm nothing to him," I whispered the last words. Remembering those lines made my heart ache again. "Trust me, Drey. I think he doesn't realize it yet," she said meaningfully. "Realize what? What are you talking about?" I looked at her puzzled. Instead of answering me, a mysterious smile crossed her lips. She shook her head as if she couldn't believe that I don't understand what she's talking about. I just shrugged and averted my gaze on the TV. We watched and laughed together until it was almost midnight. I'm feeling a little sleepy so I rested my head on the couch. I glanced at Chanel when her phone rang again. She swiped it and answered Liam's call. I just sat there and listen as she talked to him. "Oh yes, I'm sorry, I forgot to call you. She's now with me and she's asleep. Go home Liam, Audrey will not go home tonight."
