By the next day, I was completely healed and well-rested. My wolf was pacing inside me impatiently to go back to the town again and meet our mate. My whole being was yearning for him.
My heart ached to see him again, be touched by him again. I wanted to know if he was missing me the same way I missed him.
It was around afternoon when the Alpha summoned me. I was very much excited at this but as I headed towards the Alpha’s office, I couldn’t help but feel anxious.
It wouldn’t be so easy, I had to remind myself. He’s very twisted, the Alpha. He’d make me do something dangerous and there surely would be very bad consequences if I’m somehow unable to do the work, I told himself.
