Seetha hoped she wouldn’t see another hazard suit as long as she lived.
The crew of five humans who arrived to get Les wore compact versions, more form-fitting and flexible than the platform guards. She could even see their faces through clear shields. Reassuring as that change was, their tense expressions and rapid motion didn’t ease her fear.
They loaded Les into a more serious version of hir normal travel tank. The structure was the same, with clear walls on five sides and wheels all around the bottom. Instead of controls inside for the plurapod to operate, this only had controls on the outside. Everything was thicker, more secure, the glass warping and distorting the view inside.
