Chapter 9 The door to the Porthiant Station lab, along with every other door on the entry platform, was closed with a red flashing light overhead. Seetha and her hooded escorts didn’t turn down the corridor toward the cyborg’s lab. They walked straight through a rounded opening easily twice as tall as Seetha. The breeze from a steel door slamming into place behind them pushed her hair into her face. The room looked like a miniature version of the lab waiting room. Same bland walls and echoing tiled floors. Same sharp, antiseptic smell. Instead of chairs, medical beds and tubs stood in front of several tall gray plastic boxes along the back wall.
