"You retain my approval to marry Lauren," Mom announced and I'd never seen Mom being so determinant.
"No, you don't have one!" Dad exclaimed but when Mom gave him a look. It was like they were talking through their eyes.
"Okay, you have it. But if you mistreat my daughter, I'll hunt you down!" Dad cautioned and Sean immediately hugged Dad tightly and lifted him a little.
"Thank you! Thank you so much! You don't know what kind of favour you have done on me. I'm blessed!" He chanted and Dad just wheezed. He lowered Dad on to his toes. Even though Dad had a serious expression, I could notice he was delighted.
“He just had a heart attack,” I reminded him and he gave me an embarrassed glance.
“I’m sorry. I got carried away.” He shrugged, leaving his confident self aside
