All the way when I was walking, I felt like someone was watching me. I didn’t know if it was the truth or my paranoia. Luke sensed my worry and held my hand tighter. I gave him a small smile as a silent thanks.
When we finally reached downstairs. I had seen that nurse exit the doors and rush to her car. It was a pretty good car for all I knew. She gave a last glance at me and stared at Luke before her driver drove her away.
Did nurses earn so well to afford a car and a driver?
"Get in, sweetheart," Luke muttered as he opened the door for me. I gave him a smirk and settled in the car. He came around and hunched in the driver's seat.
