Raven, Billy and Farid carefully sneaked towards the factory. There were no guards. The Goblins and werewolves barely noticed them approaching but Raven open fired in order to distract them. Farid really thought it was a bad idea-the three of them could hardly take on hundreds of those creatures.
From a distance of about 200 meters, Raven fired an entire round at them and managed to hit a few. The bullets bounced off of them but it did hurt them a little.
"What are you doing? They can't be killed-" shouted Farid.
But Raven was not listening to him. The Goblins turned at them and screeched loudly, Raven had managed to piss them off. About ten to fifteen of them rushed towards them in fury.
"Dang! Let's split up- me and Raven will keep them busy here, Farid, we will cover you- go get Johnny!" said Billy loading his weapon.
Farid obliged and dodged and ran through the swarm if angry goblins.
"God! Why does it have to be Goblins? I hate them - I hate them-" said Farid running in as fast as he could.
"I thought they were nocturnal-"said Raven firing her rifle furiously.
"They are- but someone is forcing them to come out during the day- you know- one thing about Goblins that I forgot to mention- during the day, they're half blind-" winked Billy.
Raven smirked- she understood that these things have a weakness they could exploit.
The vile creatures who mostly adorned the rooftops of old buildings as stone figurines are actually quite vicious and mindless when brought to life through necromancy or dark magic. They are humanoid, almost four feet tall, with a hideous face, long canine teeth and claws and they have wings like bats and some even have tails. For the necromancer- the master who brings them to life, they are like minions who would carry out his every command. Quite dangerous for a mediaeval piece of architecture!
Farid had almost reached the door when a werewolf sprang out of nowhere and blocked his way. He stopped and quickly drew out his dagger. The werewolf growled at him and raised his arms displaying its ugly white teeth and claws. Farid was not intimidated- this wasn't the first time he was fighting a monster and it definitely wouldn't be the last.
He rushed at the monster and monster sprang at him. With one quick move, he slid to the side and sliced his throat. The monster choked as blood spewed out of it's throat and fell on it's knees. He slowly turned into his human form. Farid saw this and felt bitter. It was not his intention to murder any human and he secretly hoped that their was something he could do to save him. Then he remembered- only a ritual from the blood of the Alpha could cleanse the entire pack of werewolves and return them to their human forms. Seeing that there was nothing else he could do, he went on looking inside the huge abandoned factory. It was indeed- abandoned- the huge machineries lay still and silent like sleeping monsters. He went ahead and looked for some kind of entrance. To his astonishment there was nothing else but dust and rubble.
"Where did the creatures go?" he said to himself "there must be some kind of entrance-"
Meanwhile at the underground den- Johnathan was surrounded by swarms and hordes of goblins and werewolves.
"You've killed my son? Now you pay! You pay with your blood- finish him!!" yelled Dmitri holding the grimoire in his hand.
The Goblins flew at him and the werewolves were mad that he had killed their Alpha. Johnathan froze for a second. He had no other weapons on him except for his steel arms and iron legs and he wondered how he was supposed to take on literally hundreds of those monsters. Then he remembered something and closed his eyes- he calmed himself and silenced his fears- he knew that all he had to do was believe in himself- there's got to be a way!
His fears and worries were slowly fading away and suddenly time was beginning to slow down like it did during the Cooper's Town incident. The monsters were merely ten feet away from him but were now moving slower- like an inch per second. And in the middle, stood Johnathan with his eyes closed and mind at peace. He asked for a solution and an answer came to him...
He suddenly opened his eyes and as soon as he did time restored itself into normal speed. A bright white light emerged from his body and it grew larger and brighter to the point that the whole den lit up like the sun. The light was warm and peaceful and it completely disoriented the goblins and the werewolves. All of the Goblins, including the few that were outside, immediately turned into stone and came crashing down on the ground. The werewolves screamed and yelled in pain as the light tore into their skin, rooting out the evil from inside their human body. They were returning to their normal human selves and all of them fell down unconscious on the ground. Then the light went back inside his body and dimmed out!
Dmitri was shocked-
"Bozhe moi!"he exclaimed.
Never before had he seen such powerful magic. His Grimoire fell from his hands and he immediately started to flee. Johnathan came back to his normal self and immediately collapsed to the ground. He had squeezed out all his energy and he could barely stand.
As Dmitri rushed towards the exit, Brother Farid came out of nowhere and kicked him in his guts. He fell back in pain.
"Not so soon you coward!" said Farid pointing his dagger at him.
Billy and Raven came running from behind.
"Where's he? You find him?" asked Billy running up to Farid.
"He must be inside-"replied Farid
"Oh! Look who we have hear- the legendary Mr. Presnyakov!"said Billy sarcastically and kicked Dmitri in the guts again..
"Watch him while we find Johnny-"instructed Billy to Raven.
Raven pointed her rifle at Dmitri while Farid and Billy rushed inside the den.
They found Johnny exhausted on the ground half awake and they saw the scene he had created. They carried him away along with Dmitri- whom they tied and shoved into the backseat of their van. Billy suggested that he should be questioned first and later on, handed over to the police. Farid found Johnny's sword and the Necronomicon and took them with him. He noticed strange markings on Johnny's arm-
"He's levelled up! I wonder what new power he had found-"thought Farid.
The sun was high up in the sky and Raven drove to their usual hideout- the old Church. Johnny was slowly regaining consciousness. Later on at the church, he would tell them about the entire incident over a cup of coffee. Billy looked at him curiously while Farid thanked the Lord for watching over him.
"But I still don't understand how I came to possess this powers-and what was the bright light that came out?" Johnathan asked Farid.
"The light? I think it was your Qi but it's curious how you managed to cure and heal the monsters with the help of your Qi-"he said stroking his scanty beard.
"And how am I receiving these powers?" he asked again.
"Well as they say- ask and ye shall receive!" smiled Farid.
"So this is my Sixth Level!" said Johnathan to himself and took a sip of his coffee!
