The plan in the engagement

Music was heard everywhere. I could hear people laughing and chatting.
Why may you ask? Well, today is Jes and mine's . . .
Engagement party!
I was very tired from shopping for all those engagement things and I was currently lying down on my bed.
The engagement party is happening our house because our house is big enough of hold a part. Did I mention who big out house it? Well, guess not.
So, out house has 5 floors. I repeated, 5 freaking floor and each floor contains more than 12 rooms. So, yeah, I have a party room, a ball room, a living room, a dining room, 12 bed rooms, 5 guest rooms, 3 personal huge swimming pools and small swimming pools in each room. So, as you can understand, our house is huge which is why dad and mom decided to have the engagement party in our home.
I sighed as I laid on my bed. Suddenly, I started to think about Jes. It was pretty weird how now a day, my thoughts are mostly consists of her.
I couldn't help but to laugh as I rembered what happened in the aeroplane.
I admitted that Jes is beautiful. Her smile . . . Her beautiful turquoise eyes . . . Her dark brown hair . . . She drives me crazy sometimes, but, what bothers me the most is . . . What is she hiding? Every mystery of her seamed like a puzzle fillied with confusion in me.
But, today . . .
I am going to find out the truth.
My phone rang as I held the phone.
"Mr. Tennyson?" I heard the person speaking. "I am your secratary. I got the pills which you ordered."
"Thank you. Please bring it when you come to the party today," I said as I cut the phone.
I smiled as I remembered what I ordered. I ordered a pill. The pill name is sodium thiopental and it is a type of pill which makes people speak the truth. My plan is to mix the pill with the drink and make her drink it so she will bulted out all the truth. I knew it is not right, but, well . . . I need to figure out the truth.
I heard a knock on the door.
"Austin, get ready dear," I heard mom said. "We will start the engagement in an hour."
"Okay," I said as I went to the washroom and got changed into a nice outfit.
I was wearing a nice navy blue blazer and pinned shoes. I did my hair and looked at myslef on the mirror.
"Aw, my brother looks handsome," I heard Olivia saying from behind.
I turned around and saw Olivia looking at me as she smiled. Olivia was wearing a nice outfit.
"Hey Olivia," I said.
"Austin, come on, the engagment party already started. Let's go downstairs. After the engagement, we will have the ball dance. Also, Austin, don't drink, okay? You know you got dad's genes," Olivia smirked. "I don't want my future sister in law to be all goggled up in one day."
I rolled my eyes. Drink. I knew what Olivia meant. I don't drink because whenever, I drink, which I did only one time, I loose all my control over myself and become so possessive and stuffs. That is why I never drink before.
I went out of my room with Olivia and went to the party hall which was decorated beautifully with decorations. The party wall was on the 5th floor so me and Olivia did took the small elevator that we have in out house and went to the party wall.
There were so many people in the party. I saw dad and mom holding a microphone and talking.
Jes? Where is she?
I looked around my couldn't find her.
"So, we are going to begin the engagement. Austin! Please come over there, son," I heard dad saying.
I went near dad.
"Jes, sweetie, come here," mom said.
The crowd slowly went on a side as Jes entered in the engagement party hall with Ayumi.
I was stairing at Jes. She looked . . . Beautiful. She was wearing a long navy gown. The grown has an open back and in the front of the gown, she had an v-cut neck. The gown was exposing her sides and outfit was hugging her curves. Jes just look . . . So . . . Gorgeous.
She seamed a bit nervous. Ayumi pulled her near me.
Ethan brought the ring to us. I took the ring and slipped the ring on her finger.
She looked at me and I saw so much guilt in her eyes. It seamed like she was going to sob. I didn't know what was wrong with her. Didn't she wanted us to be together. Atleast, that is what I heard from her secret talk with her step mom in Japan.
She took the ring and slipped the ring on my finger.
"Congratulation!" Mom laughed as she hugged us.
"Enjoy the party," Dad said.
The guest began to eat and some people went to the ball room and were dancing.
I saw Jes's mom drinking as she was laughing with somebody. She didn't even congrats her own daughter after her engagement. I looked at Jes who seamed upset as she went near the food counter to eat.
I saw mom and dad talking. I went near mom and said, "mom, can we talk in private?"
"Secret, huh?" Dad laughed and winked at mom and went to the food counter.
"Austin, is everything okay?" Mom asked.
"Mom, what type of friend do you have? Look at Jes's mom. It seams like she doesn't even care about Jes happiness," I said.
Mom saw Jes's mom and sighed. "I know what you are thinking Austin. Even I didn't expect this from her."
"How did you even became friends with her?"
"It was long time ago, Austin. I was coming home that day and I got attacked. There were so many gangsters and I couldn't fight with all of them. That time, Veronica brought some polices and saved me. That is how we became friends and honestly, I thought she is nice. I mean she is nice. But, I don't know why she is acting like this now. She usually is so caring towards Jes but now it seams like she doesn't even care . . ." Mom said. "May be, she and Jes probably had a fight so that is why she is acting like this. Don't worry about it. I will talk to Veronica."
I nodded.
I saw my secratary in the party. I motioned him as she went near me and handed me the pills and went to the party to enjoy.
I saw Jes sitting alone on the small table and earing her food alone. I went near the drink counter and looked for juice. However, there wasn't any juice, except seem drinks. I sighed as I poured some drink on a glass and put he pills on the glass.
The pills dissolved in the drink. Good. Now, Jes is going to tell me all the truth. She have to.
