Chapter 23: Getting her reaction

1647 Words
Rosie sighed in relief as she saw Jessica walk away to the kitchen in silence. She stared up at the living room stairs and saw Dylan walking downstairs to meet her. Dylan finally stepped downstairs into the living room, and he walked up to meet Rosie. He gave her one of his car keys and said, "Here's the car key." Rosie asked, "Which car key is this?." Dylan replied, "Come with me." Dylan took Rosie outside of his mansion and to his garage by subtly holding her left wrist with his right hand wrapped around her left wrist, and they went outside together to the garage. Dylan stopped and showed Rosie one of his spotless cars. A Mercedes Benz formatic, and he said, "You can drive this black car." Dylan had a broad smile on his face, while Rosie smiled sweetly and hugged Dylan. Even though she knows that Dylan hasn't yet given her the car. Dylan said, "Drive safely and don't hurt my baby on the way." Rosie replied, "Okay, I won't be long." Dylan gently helped Rosie pull the car's front door open. And Rosie hopped into the driver's seat and felt like a queen. She wished that she was truly Dylan's main wife, not faking her love for him. She buckled her seat belt and started the car engine before she finally drove out of the compound. ---- Jessica stood at the kitchen window downstairs and stared outside at Dylan and Rosie. She shook her head in sadness as she saw Dylan shamelessly give out one of his expensive, spotless cars to his w***e. Jessica remembered that she had asked Dylan before for one of his cars when her car became faulty. Dylan had up to five spotless cars and three SUVs, but Dylan refused. Jessica had to drive around in her old-fashioned car, and Dylan drove in the latest vehicles. Jessica knew that she could as well afford to purchase a brand new car if she wanted to. But she is Dylan's wife, and he ought to be taking good care of her and buying her gifts. She's the mother of his two kids. But Dylan didn't care, yet he allowed a stranger to drive his car. Jessica knew that Dylan hadn't even carried her in his car, even when she got pregnant and gave birth. He would send her driver then to come bring her home in her old-fashioned car while he drove the latest, and she hasn't sat an ass in any of his cars. Jessica blinks, and her tears drop away. She quickly prepares Caleb and Nina's morning tea, and she adds more milk and tea into their small teacup. Jessica had spent so much time in the kitchen staring at Dylan and the lady that he brought into their home. Dylan walked back into the living room, and Jessica stepped out of the kitchen, carrying a tray of three teacups in her hands. "Jessica.." Dylan tried to call Jessica, but she looked away from him. She heard him call her by her first name. Jessica knew that Dylan usually called her "babe," but now he calls her "Jessica." She wasn't even fond of pet names. So she ignores responding to Dylan as she walks away to their children's room. Dylan decided to wait for Jessica to return. And as he was wearing only his white robe and white shirt beneath, He stared around the living room before he went upstairs to the master bedroom. Walking into the master's bedroom, Dylan inhales Jessica's sweet blossom scent that fills the room. The perfume that Jessica used still lingers around in their bedroom. "Hmm." Dylan frowned a little as he walked to the closet in their bedroom and selected out more of his clothes that he would wear. He decided to stay in the guest room with Rosie instead of sharing a bedroom with Jessica and to maintain his distance from his wife since he was going to divorce Jessica soon. Dylan thought that it made no sense to him to still be craving Jessica's body, not like he detested Jessica's body. He just wants to be loyal to Rosie for the time being. ----- Jessica plastered a fake smile on her face as she walked into her children's room. She kept the tray containing all the teacups that she had brought on the sitting room center table, and she sat down on one of the sitting room couches to have her breakfast with her kids. "Mom, why not let us have our breakfast in the dining room?" Caleb asked, and Jessica looked at her son in shock. She smiled at him and replied, "No, Caleb. I think you saw your dad bring in one aunty here. So you're not allowed to go near her until she leaves. As they have some business to do, that's why we are here." Jessica saw her two kids frown, but she urged them to drink their tea quickly: "Hurry up and drink your tea quickly, except you want Mummy to leave you and go to church." Caleb and Nina finally finished up their tea, while Jessica was still lost and heartbroken to see the mess that Dylan had turned her home into. Seeing that her two kids were through with their tea, Jessica quickly finished up her tea and told Florence to use the kitchen after they left the house. Jessica finally walked out with her kids from the sitting room. She paused in the living room and remembered that she hadn't carried her handbag or worn her shoes either. She stared at her two kids and said, "You both should wait here; I am coming. Let me go upstairs and wear my shoes and carry my handbag too." Jessica quickly excused herself away from her two kids, and she went upstairs to the master bedroom to grab her things. She was determined to leave their home and cool off her head, and she walked into the bedroom and saw Dylan step out from the closet with a box of clothes in his hands that he had selected out of their closet, and he met her and gazed at him too. Jessica looked away quickly from Dylan to take out her handbag as she waited for Dylan to step out of the closet door. Dylan finally spoke to Jessica: "I have already contacted our lawyer to get the divorce papers ready tomorrow. So you will have to sign it to have your copy." Jessica didn't respond to Dylan's statement, and he yelled at her, "I am talking to you, Jessica." Jessica still didn't say a word to her husband as she stared away at the tiled floor. Dylan walked up to meet her, and he gripped her left hand angrily and questioned her, "Can't you say something?." Jessica didn't reply. She stared away, as she didn't want to speak about the divorce either. She didn't want to break down in tears in front of Dylan, as she knew that all those things were futile and Dylan wouldn't change. Dylan released her left hand after inhaling her blossom scent, and he said, "Rosie went to her house to bring her clothes here, as she forgot to take them yesterday when we were going to the event ceremony together. So she will be returning here to live with us." Jessica didn't speak; she walked into the closet, took her black handbag, and stepped out to leave, but Dylan blocked her way and questioned her, "Where are you going to, Jessica? To see your man-friend, right? The man that you got pregnant for? And you want to take my kids along with you?" Dylan knew that Jessica was going to church, but he just wanted to irritate her to get her reaction, as she mostly reacted differently to what he had thought. Jessica finally raised her head and met Dylan's gaze. She smiled at him sweetly as her chubby cheeks turned redder, and she said, "Yes, Dylan... To see my man-friend like you called him. He is the one who truly loved me before my birth, and I was conceived and born into this world, and he can never forsake me like you did." "Hmm." Dylan lowly growls, while Jessica immediately walks away from him, not wanting to spend any more minutes there with Dylan, as she knows that she will break down in tears. She walked out to the top-floor sitting room. She first took out a white handkerchief from her handbag and wiped her nostrils as she got a white powder out of her handbag and reapplied it on her cheeks and face. Dylan opened the bedroom door and walked out to the sitting room. He sees Jessica bent in such a way that she has dropped her handbag on the tiled floor and is searching for it. Dylan quickly stared away from Jessica's waist as he felt his muscles harden for him to claim her and take her in her backward position. He immediately went downstairs to wait for Rosie's arrival and to order Florence to prepare his breakfast, as it was still early in the morning. He saw his two kids already dressed in suits, and they happily walked up to meet him. "Daddy!" Caleb and Nina both hug Dylan's legs, and Caleb asks, "Ain't you following us to church today, Daddy?." "No, I have someone to meet with. Not to worry, I will follow you all next time, okay?" Dylan said:. "Okay, Daddy," Caleb smiled, and Dylan finally touched Nina's chubby cheeks gently. She looks exactly like Jessica, and how she smiles innocently... Dylan asked Nina, "How are you?." Nina smiled. Her blue eyes glimmered, and she replied shyly, "Fine." Dylan heard footsteps from behind his back, and he knew that Jessica had already stepped downstairs to take their two kids to church.
