ANUBIS I was filled with rage and hatred for Moallim. "He has always wanted me dead" I yelled while packing my clothes "I'm coming with you" Reem said barging into my room and dropped her luggage on my bed. "Are you crazy? You can't come with me it's dangerous and besides this is my personal problem." I replied focusing my attention on my bag again. "We're in for life. I prefer dying by your side than dying alone. And I'm already hurt by you calling this your personal problem, because last I checked, there's no personal life between us. We are one" Reem said as she came closer to me and caressed my cheek. "I'm sorry. I love you" I apologized, planting a kiss on her forehead. Her word's really proved that she loved me. Reem was helping pack my stuffs before moallim entered my room. "You already leaving?" He asked walking towards me but I ignored him. "Not even a goodbye, or some parting advices from me?" he added. "Goodbye?" I scoffed, taking a quick glance at him."So you really want me dead? Well as you can see, I'm ready to leave and you're interrupting" I said walking pass him and Reem followed behind. "Take good care of him" he said to Reem and held me by my cloak."Please make sure you don't use the spell the eighth time" He pleaded— earnestly. "When you do, the Demon will become stronger in the astral realm and could get himself free. And if that happens and he messes with time, we're all doomed! The effect of this would be catastrophic! There would be multiple fractures in time, causing conjured twins, global warming, loopholes in time itself and eventually the earth would be destroyed" he said sounding more serious than he had since I've known him and his words terrified me. "What demon??:" I asked, fear-shaken to my core. "You read the book about astral projection, so you should know who" He said raising an eyebrow. "The demon who's name should never be mentioned?" I asked, sounding not so sure. "Yes exactly!" "So why didn't you mention this earlier" "You were busy being angry" he chuckled lightly. "Now you see why I was angry too" he replied " Yes. But you over did things" I joked casually and we all laughed. "Goodbye kid. Be careful, and here's a map" he said handing me a map and we left. As we left the school premises other students glued their eyes on us like we were some foreigners. They were certainly curious of what business we had outside the walls of the institution. I halted before the 'Grand gates' for a few moments, knowing fully well that leaving this walls could mean the end of me. I took very a deep breath, then left. "Wow!" Reem exclaimed in excitement as the golden ray of the early morning sun graced our faces. "I can't believe my eyes! I can't believe that the outside world is this beautiful and we've been locked away behind those walls all our lives. Like we were some prisoners." she chuckled excitedly as the gentle breeze of the outside world caressed her face, swaying her hair backwards. "Look at this beautiful thing" she chatted like a little girl, picking up a flower. " Do you think I was harsh on moallim earlier" I asked interrupting her. " Why? Why do you ask?" " I already miss him. You know he has never really left my side and I have always relied on him to do everything and now I'm not so sure I can complete this journey without him" I replied staring back at the institution. "Well there's only one way to find out about that" she said holding my hands affectionately. "Speaking of the journey, I'm famished and I need breakfast" she said yawning. "Wait, I think there's a small village around here somewhere" I said bringing out my map from my bagpack. "And according to your map, it's a few days away?" she asked c*****g an eyebrow at me. "And we have to pass through these woods?" she said, obviously displeased. "Well we don't have any other option" I said putting away the map and together we set off for the village through the woods. Reem and I were mindblown at the exciting features of the outside world. Moonstruck by the wildness of it and the gigantic oaks. We were naive to the deceit of the outside world as we chatted heartily on our way through the woods. And when we never expected it, we were ambushed. We fell into a pit. Everything happened so fast that we didn't have time to grab ourselves or save ourselves. I tried getting us out of the ditch, using spells I could remember, but none of them were effective. "Well well well! what do we have here?" A menacing female voice suddenly spoke from the shadows. "Nice try! Tryna scare us with your feeble trick, hiding in the shadows." Reem said bravely, refusing to be intimidated by our captor. "I'm part werewolf and I can smell your blood. You aren't a witch nor a magician, so you must be human" Reem spoke confidently. "Oh I see you're tryna act tough! But you forget you're in my trap and I can pop your head off, if I wanted to" The voice spoke again, coming out from the shadows and she sounded more threatning. "And that's not how we treat guests. Or is it now, my dear sister" A male voice spoke from the shadows. The male figure bearing the voice threw us a rope down the pit and helped dragged us out. A kind gesture from such a very strange captor. "I'm sorry for the first impression we created." He said bringing out a hand for a handshake "I'm Hansel and that's my sister Gretel, we're witch hunters!"
