Carter's POV:   'Maybe it's better this way.' Carter thought. 'Maybe I can die peacefully this way.' It was a dark thought but somehow, it made her relax a little.    Two days had passed. No one came, no one gave Carter any food or clothes or water, making her feel sick but also sleepy and lifeless. She felt nothing.   No one spoke to her, the guards always stayed silent. The darkness seemed to consume her as she grew used to it, grew used to not seeing any light.
