Carter's POV-
I waited until her breaths were calm and slow, telling me she was asleep before I slipped out of bed. I took a quick shower before throwing on a pair of grey sweatpants and a grey tank top. When I walked back in the room, I took a few minutes to appreciate the small angel in my bed. Perfection on earth was the only way to describe the sight. I gently tucked the blanket around her, placing a kiss on the top of her head before walking out of the room.
I made my way down to the kitchen, leaving Nyx and Ryker at my bedroom door. I know she could probably take care of herself now, but I didn't want to leave her unprotected.
