Chapter 19

"I want two more spins Flavia. Keep the rotation going Luca!" Jac has been working all of us to get the La Bayadère choreography fully memorized. I have my part down, but some of the extras still get messed up. It's not because they can't remember though. Their mistakes are more due to the fact that they all rush, wanting to be in the front. Many of them fall out of formation and block the other dancers. It used to happen to me all the time. Luckily, now that I'm the lead it isn't a problem. Just as Jac requested, I integrate more spins and put as much energy as I can into the rest of the performance. We've been at this for seven hours today and I want nothing more than to go home and snuggle with Dimitri. We've been much closer lately, if at all possible. "Yes Luca! Yes Flavia!" As we finish the final steps, Jac claps rapidly with a big smile on his thin face. "Perfect! Exquisite! We'll be finished for today, but tomorrow we move to the theatre stage! We have three weeks before the show. Make it count people!" After Jac dismisses us, Luca grabs our bags and rushes over to me. After I take mine, we walk to the front of the building where Dimitri hasn't been late to since that awful day. He and Luca exchange a nod before the dark haired man takes me under his arm and walks us out. "We're going to make a quick stop at home okay? Change and then I have something I want to show you." I nod in agreement. There's no point in questioning him. I've learned that much at least. After the drive home, I rush inside to get out of my ballet leotard and I change into something nicer that still reminds me of ballet. Finally, letting my hair out of its bun, my black hair Cascades down my back in wild waves that I don't bother to mess with. Dimitri has a habit of always taking my hairbands out and I never do get them back. Skipping out of our room, I meet him at the front door where he shoves his phone in his pocket and turns to me with a smile. "You look beautiful, flower." I smile and he takes us back to the car where I rest on his lap for the next half hour. "Are we there yet," I ask for the fourth time. Dimitri shakes his head and squeezes my thigh. "Ask again and see what happens," he says with a dangerous glint in his eye. I can't tell if it's a threat or a promise, so I decide it's both and shut up. Within the minute, we pull up to a place outside the city with one large building. It's wide and extremely long, stretching farther than I would be comfortable walking. The top looks like a see through plastic material, but I can't imagine what this is. "Where are we," I ask as Dimitri leads me out of the car and takes hold of my hand. He smiles down at me. "Come on. You'll see." We walk to the seemingly abandoned building and Dimitri turns the handle. "Now close your eyes." I do as I'm told and let dark ess consume me, following Dimitri with blind Faith. I hear a loud click followed by three more in succession. What is that? I'm lead a little bit further in and before long, Dimitri's grip leaves my hand and I'm standing alone. "Dimitri?" "One minute, Flavia. Ok. Now open your eyes." I lift my lids and take in a sharp gasp of air. Looking around the large space, my bottom lip wobbles a bit and I try not to cry. "A kingdom of flowers," Dimitri says wrapping his arms around my waist. "For MY flower." The large green house holds row after row of roses. Thousands if not millions of flowers flow into an acrylic fading design. The red roses take over both sides of the room and slowly fade into a dark pink, which then ranges down the line into every shade of pink until it reaches baby and pastel. Then white roses, just barely visable due to how far away the field of flowers runs end the breathtaking sequence. "It's so beautiful Dimitri," I whisper turning around and burying my head in his chest to cover my tears. This is quite literally the most amazing thing I've ever seen and by far the most anyone could have possible outdone themselves. "A beautiful woman deserves beautiful things. I had to grow these all here, but now that they're all big and healthy, I can have them moved out to the back of the house. This is what you'll see when you look out the window soon. It'll be a constant reminder that I love you." I close my eyes, taking in all the information. I already live in what's practically a castle and now I'll have my own garden. Not just any garden, the best one ever. A gift from the best man ever. The man who loves me and the man who I... Love. I love him too. "Dimitri," I whisper shyly. He looks at me with an almost frightened stare, which is strange for a man of his stature and attitude. "I love you too," I say lightly. Dimitri's dark eyes light up and squeeze my tightly, lifting my feet of the ground. I make a surprised noise, but my dominant only chuckles and continues to hold me against him. "Say it again." I smile softly. "I love you." "Again," he demands huskily. "I love you." "Once more," he says breathily. I smile and giggle a bit at his antics. "I. Love. You. Dimitri." There's a moment of content silence where I'm ebraced in the warm hold of the man I love. The man who takes such good care of me and has already sacrificed so much of his ways to accommodate me Into his life. This is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with because I can't imagine going a day without him. I want to give him everything. I want him to have all of me. "Dimitri..." I start.
