CHAPTER 6

Six. Sunny's POV As soon as I got back to the house, I went straight to my room and started to browse some information about Zeiler Herosa. I only know him by his name and his personality. I can only judge him by the way people talk about him. I wasn’t able to stop myself frowning every time I read an article about him. I know he is successful. At such a young age, he has a lot of achievements. ‘Oh?’ My eyes were fixed on one of the pictures, where I saw a familiar face... “She looks familiar,” I said to myself, but I didn’t know where I'd seen her before. I bit my lower lip, trying to recall where I saw her, but I couldn't think of any. I click the link about the girl, but then still the information isn’t enough aside from the fact that she is Zeiler Herosa’s personal chef. “Wait.” It looks like there’s something in me that lightened up. Of course! I know her! She is one of the most famous chefs in the country. She was only 19 when she was named the prodigy chef. She inspired me a lot in cooking. Tsk. I didn’t know that she worked with that ass*ole. I was busy all night searching about his other information, until, I don’t know how the hell I fell asleep because when I woke up it was already morning and Aunt Mila was now knocking on my door loudly. I groaned in irritation. Oh, damn! I guess I had read so much information about them that's why I didn't know that I fell asleep. “SUNNY! It's already late!" I closed my eyes in irritation. Aunt Mila keep banging my door as if it's end of the world already. 'Cut the crap aunt Mila,' I muttered to myself. She's still continued knocking so loudly. I get up from my bed, annoyed. Damn it! I took a deep breath before I open the door. Oh God knows how much I'm trying to calm myself right-angle now. “I don’t have work today.” I wasn’t able to continue my sentence, and it seemed like my whole nerves woke up when I saw what Aunt Mila was holding. “Where did you get that?” I asked, puzzled. I was about to grab it away from her when she was too fast to keep it away from me. I didn’t know that you had a big offer like this. Sunny, this will help us. Sign this immediately. " She’s uttering words as if what she wants me to do is as easy as baking a pie. Damn! Why does she need to see that piece of s**ts, of all people? I closed my eyes to calm myself. “I already talked to the secretary, and they will offer you a bigger amount if you demand it, and that’s what I did.” She checked her watch. "Perhaps he's on his way here now. Suit yourself. Take a bath and come down immediately," she then said, and she was about to turn her back on me when I spoke. “Aunt Mila, you see... I don’t need it. I already have my work and it is also paying more than I deserve. I don’t need this job..." "Don’t be such a fool, Sunny! Be practical! Do you think your job will pay off all your parents' debts? No! Look at you now! You’re still paying it. Think broadly about your situation! Get the offer and sign the contract," she insisted, as if I didn't have any choice at all. This is insane! I bit my tongue. "Your parents have already died. Make them proud in heaven and stop disappointing them. " That hit a nerve! Oh come on! I don’t want to hear any of her sh*ts anymore. “Okay. I will sign it," I said, almost out of breath. I immediately closed my door without waiting for her answer. I closed my eyes in desperation. “I hope I’m only having a nightmare,” I said to myself as I wiped away my tears. This is so unfair! Why do I need to experience all of this s**t? I hold my chest... it's damn aching so badly. I know that I will never be enough for her, but does she need to talk about my parents like that? She raised me, yes, but she doesn’t have the right to control me. However, in this kind of situation, I will always be the one who doesn’t have any choice. This is a messed up life indeed! I just groaned out of frustration. Just as we expected, the secretary that I had talked to yesterday arrived at my aunt’s house. He started to explain what I only needed to do, which was I only needed to cook for him, though I would stay at his house. Prepare something for him...Oh, d**n! He is rich and I know he can afford to pay the most expensive chef in the country. However, he wants to spend his money on someone like me. Should I be proud and happy for myself because someone like him is offering me a job that everyone wants to have? Oh shoot! “You don’t need to worry about a thing, Miss Sunny. Mr. Zeiler may be cold, but he knows how to treat people." He keeps saying s**t, but I don’t give a damn about it. What matters to me right now is that I will be able to earn money. I will only cook for him. Nothing more, nothing less. "And one more thing, I already communicated with Mr. Yu, so you don’t need to worry about that too,” he stated, which really caught me off guard. “Wait. What do you mean by that? " “Are you even listening? "He said that you don’t need to worry about your old boss anymore,” Aunt Mila interjected. I know, it’s just that they are way too fast to do such things. My contract with Zeiler Herosa doesn’t have an end, but then I can’t leave with my own consent. Oh come on! Though it’s only an easy job for me because I will only cook for him, and to be prank, I really am so good at cooking. “So you can start today?” “What? As in now? Are you nuts?” I asked, with my brow arched. He smiled at me as he stood up as he extended his hand to me. “Welcome to Mr. Zeiler Herosa’s world, Miss Sunny Lorenzo.” ---
