Isn’t he, Wayne?” Wayne had to agree that Jim’s suggestions would take the act to a whole new level, and he didn’t mind giving up some of the limelight one little bit. They got right on to it. Their original act consisted of fifteen minutes of tricks and thirty minutes of singing, which worked out to seven or eight songs depending on which ones they sang. They found that they could stretch the first part of the act and then they needed six songs, so they learned a new one each every two days and one supported the other until they both knew all the new songs. Once they had eight songs, they went back to their old routine of one third tricks to two thirds singing, but they continued to learn popular old songs until they had a repertoire of dozens,
