Kane’s P.O.V.
“What’s your mother doing?” Chris asked me in an amused tone, earning a glare from me. “I don’t know”, I muttered angrily and looked back at my mother who was parading Mist all over the party since she came here with me. Mom was looking enthusiastic while introducing her to all her friends and other guests, especially the young men. I could say that Mist was not comfortable with what was happening to her but she didn’t have any choice here but to follow my mother. “You should help her now, Kane. This is not making any sense”, Chris once again spoke in a worried tone this time.
My grip on the glass that was in my hand hardened when I saw mom introducing Mist to another bachelor, Victor Donovan. “It seems that your mom wants to hook Mist up with someone tonight”, Chris spoke
