“Are you ok? Miss Audrey” Addison inquired with a startled expression, I flinched and turned towards her.

“What! When did you arrive?” I strode in her direction. “I just arrived. Are you ok? I thought something must have gone wrong that’s why I rushed back to the store” she let out, checking me out. I hissed and sat down at the table. “I’m fine, I was just amazed by the information you gave to me. I couldn’t even process the idea that someone had settled the bill. I believe something must have prompted it, I don’t believe that it’s simple” I uttered while biting my upper lip. Addison sighed and sat down on the couch, “it’s nothing like that Miss Audrey, I was trying to explain to you but I wasn’t getting a response. Gina notified me that it’s for the charity that an anonymous Company wants to support our brand which is new in showbiz, they don’t need anything they are just for charity” she explained. I heaved a sigh of relief as my racing heart relaxed, although I was still careful, I’m happy that someone was behind me, standing beside me and pushing me to the top.

“Well, that’s nice” I uttered with a smile as my mind relaxed.

“Yes, I’ve completed the formalities. The models would come on the day of the photo shoot” I nodded and went to the table. I brought out the proposal that Addison gave to me and scrolled through it to check what was remaining.

“Have you made all the arrangements for the i********: page and the remaining things needed for the new brand exposure”

“Leave it to me, I’m on it” she asserted bowed curtly and left.

“Hey!” Mara heard someone call from the entrance. She raised her head and looked in the direction where the voice was coming from and creased her brow. Giving the person a questioning glare, she motioned her to come and stepped aside to shade herself. Mara wondered why the lady that always caused chaos in the store was doing here, she looked around and strode out of the store.

“What’s the matter, ma’am? I believe the security had let out a warning to you” Mara asserted with a frightened voice as she was scared that she would be caught speaking to Charlotte who was here with an evil plan. She took a wrap of money and shoved it into Mara’s hand.

“What’s the meaning of this and why did you call me out?” Charlotte placed her hand on her lips gesturing for Mara to keep her voice down. Mara bit her lip, let out a deep sigh, and remained calm.

“Right, I need you to do something for me” Charlotte uttered in a low tone. Mara motioned her to continue, “I know you’re the receptionist and you leave late. I’d like us to work together. I will pay you a hundred thousand dollars if you accept to do the job” Mara choked on her saliva as she has never seen or touched that kind of money before. She came from a poor home and had to work four jobs to survive. Getting a job at Rey's luxurious store was just a smart move of hers. “This is a good idea, at least I could sort a lot of bills with it. I still need to pay for John's tuition and my father's medicine. But my salary isn’t enough for our daily livelihood, however, if I had gotten the spot of a secretary the p*****t could have been better” Mara thought while biting her finger, she quickly concluded to help Charlotte if only she would add more money to it, she thought to herself “Fine! I’ll assist you to do anything but you will increase the p*****t to two hundred thousand dollars” she abruptly said. Charlotte frowned, but soon accepted to increase the p*****t as she had no other option to get into the store.

“Nice! I’ll double the p*****t but you must do a clean job” she asserted and motioned Mara to move closer to her. Charlotte mumbled a few words to Mara that made her jaw drop.

“What! That’s a bad idea” she muttered in displeasure.

“I’m paying you a huge sum of money not to decline my order” Charlotte let out with a gloomy face. “I know your p*****t is the lowest and you need money. I’m giving you the last chance to take the offer or I’ll find someone else” she added casually and was ready to leave if Mara disagreed with her plan. “I could lose my job if word got out that I allowed thugs into the store to burn down the whole outfits, but I also need the money for the bills that are piled up on my neck” Mara nodded her head quickly and accepted to do whatever that would make her own the money.

“Fine! Let’s exchange contacts. I’ll let you know when to do it. Remember, don’t get caught” she warned Mara who nodded in response and ambled into the store. Charlotte put back her sunglasses, a nose mask, and a sun hat and left the area.

“This is time to make you pay! Too bad I warned you to stay off Andrew and me but you still linger around making him think of you always. Now, he doesn’t even look at me” Charlotte muttered with a clenched fist, Andrew had made it clear to her that he wasn’t going to marry her even after giving birth. Charlotte was enraged after getting into arguments with Andrew, “it’s all that witch's fault, if she isn’t in the picture Andrew would still be thinking of me and I will be happy now” she thought to herself and suddenly came up with a plan to ruin Rey Grandeur. “This is the only way I could get back to Audrey, cutting her wings before she flies” she nodded in agreement and decided to hire some thugs that would do the job. She dashed out of the house angrily and went in search of thugs from the underworld who would do the job with no trace.
