After breakfast, the two strays had their jobs to take care of. Jasper apparently worked in the kitchen, but not as a cook - he was a butcher. He was responsible for the whole process, from exsanguination, to skinning, to chopping the meat into smaller pieces to be used in the meals. I already knew my mate was a lumberjack, and he was especially busy during winter, since the pack used a lot of firewood to keep their houses warm.
