The air seemed to have turned still as I stared at my mother with my eyes wide. I was sure they were similar to the size of a saucer at that moment.
“I-“ I started but I paused. Completely speechless. My body seemed to shiver as I tried to comprehend what my mother had just said. My mother looked up at me from her seat on her bed, her eyes calm, as if she had not just said something that could get her killed almost immediately if anyone else heard her.
“What did you just say?!!” I screamed in fear. My mother opened her mouth, most likely about to repeat herself, I immediately stopped her from speaking.
