Chapter Eleven - The perfect kiss

1225 Words
Caleb    I was enjoying my night with everyone; I really was. But what I wanted more, was to get some alone time with Scarlett. Just her and I, no interruptions. I reached into Scarlett, my lips at her ear, and she shivered as soon as she feels my hot breath against her skin.    “Do you want to get out of here, you and me? We can go somewhere to talk, go a walk, anywhere you like,” I whispered.    She turned to face me, that beautiful smile playing on her lips.    “I would love that,” She said, “In one condition though,” She added.    “And that being what?” I asked.    “That you promise I get a kiss at the end of the night,” She said, biting her lip as she did.    I swallowed hard and nodded my head. I can give her that. I have wanted to kiss those lips since the moment we met. I think even if Scarlett hadn’t asked, I would be kissing her anyway. She is the sexiest female I have laid eyes on for a long time, maybe in my whole life. I don’t remember anyone that I could even compare to her.    She has the most luxurious long red hair which flows down her curvy body, just looking at her makes the blood pump through my body, and I mean every part of my body. I could stare at her all day, her smile is unique, and it draws me in. Her lips are so plump and juicy, and I am determined to get mine on hers as soon as possible.    “So we are going to try out next door for a few different cocktails”, I said to everyone.   I think they all knew that we wanted a bit of time alone as no one wanted to come with us.   “We are good here, having a good time watching and listening to the karaoke. You kids have fun,” Nicole said, a hint of a smirk to her lips.    We said our goodbyes to them, heading out. I never wanted to go to the bar next door. I wanted to go somewhere else, somewhere more private and quieter.    “Do you want to go to the other bar? Or go a walk down by the water?” I asked.    I was hoping she would say the water.    “We can go a walk,” She smiled, shivering slightly as she did.    There was a slight chill in the air, but that was Scotland for you. I slid my jacket off and handing it to her.    “Then you will get cold,” She said, not taking it.    “I will be fine,” I said, placing it over her shoulders.    “If you are sure!” Scarlett said quietly but looking straight into my eyes.   “Honestly I am fine, don’t worry about me,” I said, smiling at her.    We went a walk down towards the canal. It is such a beautiful spot. We found a bench to sit on. I don’t know how long we will sit here for, but I don’t mind. I feel like we will have a lot to talk about. We get on so well already, and I am sure there is still plenty for us to share.   “You OK if we sit here for a bit?” I asked Scarlett.   “Yes, sounds good to me,” She said, “I don’t have work tomorrow, so no rush to go anywhere else,” she added.   I was glad when she said she had no work because I was not in any rush for us to go our separate ways anytime soon.   “Here, you can have your jacket back. I should be OK now,” Scarlett said.   “No, you can keep it just now, we will just sit closer,” I said, shuffling down the bench more towards her.   She watched as I moved closer, giggling and blushing as I did. I smiled, reaching my hand in and pushing the hair that had fell over her face away. She let out a soft whimper, moving into my touch. Even after I moved the hair away, I never moved my hand; instead, I caressed her cheek with the pad of my thumb.    “You are breathtakingly beautiful, Scarlett,” I breathed out.    “Thank you,” She said in a whisper, and I could feel the heat rise from her cheek onto my hand.    “I would love to spend all my spare time getting to know you more,” I told her, still caressing her soft cheek.   “I feel the same,” Scarlett said, leaning into my hand more, “I can’t remember the last time I felt this comfortable with someone,” She added, that beautiful smile that makes my heart race in her lips.    I feel like we have a perfect connection. I am sure she feels the same way as me. I have had a few relationships where I thought we were both feeling and thinking the same, but this is different.    “What else is there you want to tell me about you?” Scarlett asked, looking straight in my eyes.   “I’m not sure there is anything else for me to tell you, I live a pretty boring life,” I said, laughing.    There are so many things that have happened in my life that I’m not quite ready to tell anyone about. I’m not even sure if I will ever be prepared to tell anyone. I need to change the subject.   “If that is the story you are sticking too,” She laughed, “I will have that kiss now, please,” She added, licking her lips.    I never had to be asked twice. I kept one hand on her cheek, and placed the other on her hip, inching in closer to her lips.    “I have wanted to kiss you, since the moment that we met,” I said.    “Then do it,” She said, placing one hand on my chest.    I nodded, closing the space that was between us. As soon as our lips touched, a shudder ran through my entire body. I could feel my heart begin to race faster in my chest. She let out a soft moan, her fingers slipping into my hair. I kissed her softly, not wanting to push. I have never had a kiss like this. It was perfect.    I could sit here all night just holding and kissing Scarlett, but I didn’t want to feel like I was putting pressure on her, so I did pull away after a good few minutes, and I pulled her in for a cuddle. We just sat there with my arm resting over her shoulders for a while just relaxed listening to the water flowing. I saw in the distance a figure walking towards us which was strange as the canal is usually quiet at night.   “Hello,” The polite stranger said as he smiled walking past us.   “Hi,” I replied.   Suddenly Scarlett shot upright, pulling away from me.    “I need to go home,” she said, stumbling up to her feet “Sorry Caleb, but I need to go,” She added.   “Wait, Scarlett, what is wrong?” I asked with a confused look on my face.   Everything seemed to be going well, what have I possibly done in the last few minutes for her to change so quickly.    “I, I, nothing, I need to go,” She said, “I will see you soon,” She added.    I went to stop her, but she rushed off so quickly, by the time I got to my feet, she was out of sight. What the f**k just happened? I sat back down, trying to make sense of it all. Maybe this is all in my head; perhaps she isn’t feeling the same after all.    How can such a great night end so abruptly?
