Chapter 7We’d been mostly quiet as we wandered through downtown Landry’s Fall after dinner. Snow had begun to fall, though it was lazy and not accumulating quickly. I was glad to see it. In the city, we didn’t always have snow for Christmas, but as a North Easterner, snow at Christmas was a must for me. When the wind had picked up, biting at our cheeks, Mason and I had hurried to the car, then back to the Inn. Mason hadn’t pushed for conversation in the car either, but now that we were at our door, as I waited for Mason to key the code into the lock, I was strangely antsy.
