1305 Words

Chapter Fifteen I am running but there is water at my feet. It makes me lose my footing and I seem unable to get up and get ahold of my bearings. I can hear Maggie crying off in the distance and know that I have to get to her. I have to get near her and help her. I push off the ground and try to ignore the fact the water level is rising. There is a dark shadow at the other side of the room. I cannot tell if it is Robbs or Rich – maybe both of them, combined. I yell at them not to go near Maggie but they do not move. It is as if they are a statue. The water level is rising faster now. Maggie’s cries grow louder. I have to get to her. I have to get to her. I have to – My eyes open up suddenly and adjust to the dim lighting. My head hurts so much that I feel as if I have been smashing it
