Chapter Fourteen
Quickly I boot up the old laptop and wait for it to start up. It feels as if this whole process will take ages. I am convinced that every small noise is going to be Rich coming home and bearing down on me. I know if he finds me that it will not go well and there will be no way of reasoning with him or preventing him from getting angry.
