Chapter 6
Gabriel was content to blanket his mate and ignore the rest of the world for a while. It was a futile wish, he knew that, but Daniel breathed deep beneath him, questions already crowding the space between them.
“Spit it out,” Gabriel murmured. Might as well get this over with.
“Mate?”
Behind that one word was a thousand different questions. Too many to answer, if Gabriel were honest. But he knew which one Daniel really wanted the answer for.
“Yep,” Gabriel supplied. He steeled himself for more words from his mate, maybe recrimination, certainly more probing into the matter.
Daniel’s chest rose and fell in a sigh, heartbeat slow and steady in Gabriel’s ear. His soft voice was an even deeper rumble than his lungs working. “Were you gonna tell me?”
