Isiah sat in his car for a full Forty Five minutes after he pulled up outside of Maybells apartment later that exact same night.
He sat contemplating the very real fact that Maybell may not invite him into the apartment much less want him there at all. And yet like a love sick puppy there he sat the bouquet of flowers he had brought and left in his seat at the Pavilion slowly wilting beside his in the car.
Just go give her the flowers. Tell her that’s all you came to do and then just leave.
