For the first time, I woke up before my mate. I blinked, frowning when I realized we were in the couch and that I was lying on top of him. Memories from last night flooded my brain and I smiled. I looked down at my mate and sighed, it was like this wall between us had been lifted. We kissed last night. I know it would take more time until we were fully comfortable with each other, but last night had been a beautiful start. I reached for his phone to look at the timeeight in the morning. I checked his phone for alarms, pleased when I found that none were turned on. I put it down before gently disentangling myself from him. My mate needed to sleep in. Once my two feet were on the floor, I put the blanket over him and let him turn to sleep
