SACRED LOVE : 57 2/2 The darker the sky was, the trembler their bodies got. Time passed by as they found all the sharp wooden swords which attacked them and soon, Zal realized that the time had come when Cia turned around within her breath heavier than ever. Shaking her head, she held the last one, making Zal glance down at her hand then into her eyes before a heavy and soundy breath left his lips. The chest dropped, he slowly took it from her grip but then, his eyes fell over her arm. The thick gust of wind brushed their hair out of their sight as Cia tried to take deep breaths. As the blood dried against the dress she wore, he couldn’t help but caress her knuckles while a sigh left his lips. “It hurts a lot?” he asked gently, making her step slightly back while shaking her head. Rubbing her face, she tried to stiffen her weak posture, making him blink. That’s right, she never ate well. Now climbing up the hell..? Damn. “Alright, we are done.” She turned towards him as he tied the last one along with others on the line. As she watched him tie them in a circular line, she bit her lip feeling hesitance. “Z-Zal.. I-I-” “Don’t worry, it won’t.” he glanced at her, but it seemed like his gesture didn’t help her panic-self. Sighing, he walked towards her. “I.. I know the measurements.” he said, patting her shoulder, making her frown. “T-That doesn’t h-h-help a-anyt-thing.” she said, making him blink. "What?" Dumbfounded, Zal exclaimed breathily. __________________________________ Fxck! A smirk, Bai eyed the guy who sat there with his fists on his lap. As Mr. Liwei continued to explain about the room and services, Bai took no attention to him but Ferno. Who had his cheeks red and such stubborn anger was visible on his face while he glared away from Bai. As much as Ferno tried to ignore the smug gaze of Bai, his cheeks flushed within a realization hitting him. That he was caught in the act. Biting his lip, he took a glance at Mr. Liwei. A short glance at Mr. Liwei and Bai immediately turned to Ferno. A smile on his face, he eyed the ferno within a bulb popping up above his head. “Mr. Liwei, I have so many patients waiting,” Mr. Liwei sighed as he slowly took a look at Ferno before Ba completed his sentence. “So, Can I?” His words made Ferno gulp without even realizing it and Mr. Liwei left after a while. The empty room was soon echoed with a click of the door being locked and made Ferno's head shot aside towards the door. The tension thickened as soon as his eyes fell on the man who leaned against the door with his arms crossed over his chest. “Good morning.” His greeting only increased the tension, making Ferno's cheeks turn bright red for no reason. “What do you want? I already have you enough answers-” Froze in his words, his eyes widened as bai’s thumb slowly wiped the frosting off the corner of Ferno's lips. His body tensing, Ferno felt his organs being jumbled inside his body. A gulp, he eyed Bai’s face as Bai stared at him with his gaze as deep as a seductive self would. His fingers rubbed the frosting he had just wiped off while he eyed Ferno's heated-up face. Eyeing Bai’s face, Ferno didn’t know what was just happening until he heard a cover being touched beside him. Frowning, he slowly watched Bai take a tissue from the table that was right near Ferno’s left side. Bai softly frowned as he watched wide-eyed Ferno, who had his elbow resting on the pillow behind him. His chest heaved up, Bai slowly noticed how Ferno had stuck in his throat. Bai got away from Ferno as he immediately turned to the table that was placed far from the bed. Feno finally took a breath in while his eyes blinked away from Bai. “Mr. Alfrez, How is the day?” Ferno was quick to roll his eyes. But when Bai’s warning glance met his posture, Ferno immediately sat with his back straight. Hesitant, he fidgeted with his fingers. “It’s good,” Ferno stated as kind as possible, making Bai slightly smile while taking out the notepad and a pen. As he zipped the bag close. He turned around. “Great.” He said, making Ferno eye him and look away. But then, Something caught Ferno’s gaze. A squealing thing, Bai tried his best to hide behind his back. Ferni immediately looked up at Bai’s grinning face. “What? What is it?” Scared, Ferno slowly climbed towards the headboard of the bed, making Bai’s grin fade away. He hesitantly glanced at his hands which held something behind his back. Glancing back at Ferno, Bai immediately grinned. “You will love it.” ____________________________________________________________________________ Sweat dripped down his jaw as he grunted while holding the rope tight in his already bruising hands. As Cia’s feet running near him echoed, Zal looked at her before she slowly nodded along with herself, taking deep breaths. Zal took a deep breath before he tightened his grip on the rope. He could feel the cold air brushing the dust off his face as he let out a loud groan in his hand, pulling the rope in a swift of movement and the rope ripped apart before the wooden sword flew right towards the old and ancient tree that had the flower plants tied to it. Zal’s eyes widened when he noticed one of the wooden swords flying right at Cia. “Cia! Watch out!” As he held her hand, she was harshly pulled onto him. Eyes wide, their lips inch apart when his feet slipped under. “A-Ack!-” Zal felt his back being slammed right onto the hard surface of the land. As pounds of dust surrounded them, their eyes closed before they could look at each other and soon, his arms tightly wrapped around her and he knew what to do the moment another sword was flung into the tree right beside their heads. Gritting his teeth, he immediately got behind the thickest possible tree before he closed her already tight squeezing eyes. “s**t, Dont!” As she tried to remove his hand, he yelled aloud, making her yelp as his grip on her injured arm made her knees buckle in pain. A groan, he tried to close his eyes tightly enough but the dust had already got inside his eyes a long time ago. As his arm rested on her back, he pulled her closer than ever and that is when, an unknown wince left her lips feeling his every muscle possible against hers. Blush crept up her cheeks but she brushed it off as the dust that surrounded them soon faded away into the strong winds. Removing his hand, she slowly peeked from the tree, making his itchy eyes blink. Eyes almost bright red, tears formed on them as soon as the cold air made him groan lowly. “Fxck,” He felt her gasp and soon she got off his arms. Feet taking steps towards the flowers, her eyes teared up when she saw none of them. Stepping forward, she felt her eyes tearing up continuously. Knees giving up, she dropped on her knees when Zal blinked towards her. “Hey, Cia-” His vision became more clear as he stepped closer to her. “Cia?” Her fist soon landed on the land that had a few petals of other flowers scattered over it. Her head dropping down, she felt all the energy in her drain out making Zal stand there with his eyes softening at her quiet—sobbing self. “I..I s..sh..should n…not h..h-have.” her voice broke as she tried her best to not sob aloud. As Zal lowered his gaze, he knew that there was nothing left to have hope for. Wait, What’s that smell?
