SACRED LOVE : 49 2/2 [7]
Morning, fxcking morning it is. With a sore pain in my head, I sat there with an ice pack against my forehead. Checking my emails, I bit my lip when there was no update from the manager. Checking the message I got from Hyung [ Korean phrase used by Korean men who call men that are older than them ‘Hyung’ —which literally means ‘Older Brother’]. Biting my lip in anticipation, my phone was tapped against my knee when I heard my mother’s voice from upstairs. Glancing up, my eyes froze when my eyes caught the first aid box in her hands. First-Aid Kit.. Wait- First-Aid!? My back straightened as the tension started to build up in my whole body and the thoughts of mom getting hurt made me almost stand up, but then, Ms. Cloite's exclamation made me freeze there.
“We should have let her get some help, Mrs. Xin! Her palm-” Mrs. Xin turned around as they were still standing in the middle stairs. Eyes closing in frustration and anger. A frown, my eyes wandered down on the floor and my mind tried to glue everything. “Look Ms. Cloite, I don’t want to but this is my last warning. If you like your job to be prominent, then shut your mouth and don’t ask me why, when or how!” Ms. Clotie’s eyes softened and that was the very first time. Ms. Cloite was a very strict Professor Chef. She got the award as the best and unique chef ever at the famous Fransicious. Mr. Franziska and Mr. Xin used to be very close friends of hers, but when the differences between standards made them split apart, she became more cold and rude to every person in this mansion. After years, I saw her soft side, again. “Cia can never and must not get into my son’s life and I had no choice but to do that! I can not care even if she's going to be scarred like now. Let her feel the pain so she would leave without any struggles-” But, when my thoughts tried to puzzle out everything, Another sentence that echoed made my head shot up with my eyes widening. No.. It can’t fxcking be-
It hadn't been a second when I heard it and my feet ran towards the library. Hearing my own heartbeat, my breath heaved as my body almost slammed against the door when I opened the door. Removing the book from the shelf, I immediately slid the rod. While the door swapped the sides, I went inside. Running towards the stairs, my heart rapidly beating against my chest and the strong wind didn’t help it at all. As if the hours had already started, my worried self got worse as my feet started to slow down their running pace. Slamming the door open, my eyes searched for the most ever small thing in this place and that was her. As my eyes fell upon the fragile and pale back of hers, I already knew I could no longer control myself.
Sniffing with her already red nose, her face was hidden against the table. Laying her head upon the table, she tried to suppress her sniffs but as my hand took hers, a fainting moan of pain left her lips. My eyes blinked, hers soon met mine and that was not what I could hear but her hand. With a cut across her palm which was applied with an ointment, her face looked as if she really cried a lot. My eyes softened as I glanced up into her eyes. “Are you crazy?” Her lips trembled as she tried not to cry and a small smile tried to plaster on her lips when my breathy voice startled her. “This is not okay! You can’t just put on an ointment and cook!” The annoyed tone of mine might have startled her but my mind focused on her hand. Standing up, I ran out of there, making her slightly stand, but sitting again as she realized i am already out of the place.
Time passed by and soon, I found the first aid kit in the kitchen. As mother glanced at me, I glanced at them for a second before I sternly spoke. “Something on my face?” I asked, making my mom shake her head, startled. “No, no.” she said, looking away. Rolling my eyes, I went towards the library. I don't have time to confront my mother right now. I’m sure what I have to take care of first and I am not going to be any later than I already am.
A second glance at the rooftop door, my eyes fell back on this girl who sat still there. Pulling a char towards her, I dropped the box on the table before my unconscious mind led my hand towards her thighs. My hand was under the base–of the chair– she sat upon it and I pulled her chair and the second after, she looked at me, because she was really startled by my action. Leaning back, her elbow upon the handle of the chair, her eyes met mine which were searching for the cotton in the box. Silence occupied our minds and her eyes blinked watching me take out the cotton, bandage and other supplies. As I grabbed her arm, I looked up at her face. “Closer” A mumble left my lips and her back leaned. Reaching the soft skin of her arm, my fingers trailed up until they felt her elbow. Blowing upon the cut, I looked up to see if it hurt a lot or less. Hissing, she soon zipped her lips when my eyes fell on her face. This girl really is something. I shook my head as I damped the cotton in medical water before cleaning the edges of her cut. She eyed the water bottle, making me notice it in an instant. “The dried blood can form bacteria and since it was closer to the…” I leaned back as I tried to reach the ointment that was placed a bit far. A sigh of relief, I continued. “The cut on your palm,ah it can.. Swell…S-swell up the..” Damn, Don’t look at me like that.
The words were stuck in my throat when her—doe and cute—eyes blinked into mine with concentration visible in her gaze. Noticing her eyes glancing into mine for me to finish the sentence, I gulped before blinking in the realization, which was—I had embarrassed myself again. Congratulations! rIGHT?
“T-The cut, yeah the s-skin..uh ah yeah the skin!” Oh, Kill me already. I rolled my eyes at my own fate when she softly suppressed her soft giggle. Looking away, she tried to be quiet as I cleared my throat, as if I was not just embarrassing myself in front of this beautiful lady. Why me? Screaming at the god who made me go inside my mind, I applied the ointment but then, her whimper made me glance up. My eyes met hers and I slowly nodded. “It’s okay, if it hurts let me know” I sighed as I let the words I was dying to say out. Whimpering again, she bit her lip as her legs flinched as if she was a child. Oh, wait she is, isn’t she? A small giggle, she glanced up and I realized how well she heard it. A smile was thrown off my face before I tried to maintain a serious face. Pressing the cotton, I slowly arranged the bandage to tighten the cotton against the cut. Tying it with concentration, I hummed as I tied it tightly, but then a whimper left those red lips. Glistening skin of hers under the rays of the sun made my eyes trail down to her collarbone, which have increased the urge to mark her in my mind. “Hurts.. It will hurt if I tie it loose.” I mumbled as I tried to keep my expression as stern as possible, but taking a small peek at her face, they unconsciously fell on her chest. Leaning her back forward made her cleavage meet my eyes.
Fxck, is it the first time I said she has such a pretty chest?
God, that was the least thing I wanted my mind to be bothered by. Gulping, I could hear my own heart rapidly thumping. Within a heavy breath I took, I turned back to her before a sigh left my lips realizing she always budged away. As my hand pulled her chair once again, her body jolted up and soon, her hands landed on my chest. Blinking vigorously, she realized that she was closer than she had to be, but who knew that’s what my heart wanted at the moment. Closer than ever, her hair brushed past my face and the fragrance that filled my nostrils had already clouded my mind and the thoughts inside.
God, don’t kill me now already.
Leaning slowly closer against the ear of hers that had the other one pressed against my cheek, since her head laid gently on my shoulder, my hand against her back had made me realize we weren’t just close but practically in a hug, she was feeling nervous to pull away from. A strong wind was accompanied by the faint smell of various flowers that already decorated the pillars that filled our nostrils when they were blown towards us. Flowers showered us as I felt her breath against the back of my neck. She was startled by the bunch of them hitting her soft skin ever so softly. As soft as the flowers that were stuck in her hair, her skin against mine was felt as. A quiet sniff of her scent, my heart dropped down my stomach and the literal feeling of butterflies in my stomach excited my nerves. But, my eyebrows narrowed when her fingers hesitantly, slowly rubbed against my chest. Moving her head out from the crook of my neck, her eyes met my chest making me open my sleepy eyes. Realizing she was caressing my chest, my eyes blinked vigorously when she blinked within her gaze turning more of a worry one than normal one. Eyes glancing up into mine, my eyes blinked as I realized it. My racing heartbeat, she can feel it.
