Chapter 16: Stop The Car

Victoria's POV

Nag uunahang nagbagsakan ang luha ko sa isang malungkot na balita. Kasama na namatay sa sumabog na yate ang ilang Dark Web Explorers at mga Death Knights na nasa ilalim ng pangangalaga ni Beta.

" Sinabi ko sayo Beta! You should have secured the bombs before dispatching the troops sa Yate!"

" I apologize Alpha. I didn't know na may nakasalisi sakin na bomb. The Yacht is bigger than I expected." Hinging paumanhin nya kay Alpha. She also gained terrible injuries dahil naka wheel chair sya. Pero hindi sapat ang dahilan na iyon para mapatawad sya ni Alpha.

Hindi ko masisisi si Alpha if he'll strip off Commando Bravo sa kanyang position. Sayang din ang position nya, any time sooner ay magiging Alpha na din sya. We can have two or more Alphas if they prove their worth. But as of now Commando Alpha is the only Supreme Alpha of DWE. This goes without saying to other Commandos. We have 2 Echos 3 Sierras and 5 Tango.

Tumango lang si Beta. Hindi na nya nagawang sumagot kay Alpha at hinatid nalanh sya ng mga reservist na naka duty sa headquarters hospital.

He won't be furthermore report but he will still receive compensation for his long time service." Sabi ni Alpha. " Now enough with that, we have new leads and missions. As you can see, all of you commandos are present. We might be going a bit farther than our usual jobs kaya ko kayo pinatawag dahil namumuro na ang Mafia sa pakikipag cahoots sa Dark Web."

" Are we going to go against with the mafias sire?" Tanong ni Commando Charlie

Tumango lang si Alpha at saka nagproceed sa instructions.

" Falcon and Peregrine had several reports about the alleged Mafias lurking in the Aubrium Academy. I asked them na magmasid. But the identities are still unknown. Several men dropped out at the same time as well and it's suspicious because there are secret assassinations going on."

May iniflash si Alpha sa Screen. Nagulat ako sa nakita ko dahil picture iyon ni Azithere. Sunod naman ay si Tyronne at Alexander at iba pang namumukhaan kong mga tao na nakita ko din sa eskwelahan.

" We have new sets of weapons. I expect you to not mess up. Especially you Delta." Tinuro pa ako ni Alpha kung kaya't napalingon sa akin lahat ng Commando na nandirito.

" You are permitted to kill any Mafia that you confirmed to be in cahoots with the Dark Web Perpetrators and as one of the benefactors. We all know that they do illegal stuffs especially selling several drugs and stolen antiques and yes they might sell humans."

Lumakas yata ang pulse rate ko sa binigay ni Alpha na misyon sa amin.

Kapag nakumpirma namin na isang Mafia sina Azithere. Ay hindi mawawala ang fact may choice kami na patayin sila. Dahil mga Mafias nga din naman ang isa sa benefactors ng Dark Web. Nandoon ang mga underground transactions ng mga illegal na bagay.

Dahil sumama ang pakiramdam ko pagkatapos ng Endorsement. Iniwan ko muna ang Ducati ko pansamantala sa Headquarters at nag hitchhike kay Yankee para magpahatid sa bus stop.

Pagbaba ko sa bus stop ay naglakad lakad lang ako hanggang sa bumuhos ang malakas na ulan.

Ngayon hindi ko na talaga alam kung anong gagawin. Naiiyak ako sa mga naisip ko. Napaupo ako sa roadside habang nakatingin lang sa patak ng ulan. Hindi ko makakayang patayin si Mr. Azreal kung sakali nga. Halos mabaliw ako kaka overthink.

I realized how In love I was with Azithere the moment our lips met that day.

I slammed my hand towards the table and stared at her with my murderous eyes. I saw fear registered in her whole system. That's right. Be scared on what might happen if you trigger my anger.

" There are hidden groups that distort the cycle of the Empire. You are one of the targets. If they confirmed you're a mafia, you are dead your highness." She added

" They're only a weak organization! You all imbeciles can terminate them but look at what happened. We lost a lot of transactions because of you poor insignificant fools who didn't even realized that we're being infiltated. Miss Aubrium, you are an Associate of this empire for a reason. Prove your f*****g worth. " Nilampasan ko sya at saka pumasok sa elevator.

I hissed when she caught up just before the elevator closed.

" Do you know why I wanted to warn you about the upcoming war? It's because." She stopped." It's because I love you. Alam kong hindi ako karapat dapat para maging Empress but I'm willing to sacrifice my life for that love." She continued and this time she's crying.

How I hate seeing women cry. But I care less about how they feel towards me.

If it isn't for Victoria, I would never fall in love again. I owe her my life and I will serve her for the rest of my lifetime.

" Thank you if you feel that way. But I love someone and it's not you." I said to her and left the elevator.

Pero humabol pa sya.

" You think you can marry that girl? She will despise you!" She shouted

" If I have to give up the Throne. i will. If this means her safety and insurance of living the life I wanted to give her. Then I will give the f*****g Throne to Alexander. Miss Aubrium, I thought you are more than meets the eye. But I guess you aren't. You disappoint me." I blankly said to her and went straight towards the parking lot leaving her dumbfounded.

It was a dark and rainy day and I haven't got any sleep since the last transaction didn't went well and I have to sort out with Alexander and Tyronne the reports we have to discuss in a grand conference this Saturday.

I got my keys and entered the car and drove away.

The rain is really heavy and it's almost 0 visibility. There are certain news about traffic accidents and I don't want to be included in those trifles.

While I was about to pass the bus stop. I saw a familiar body drenched in the middle of a heavy rainfall.

I didn't expect to stumble on Victoria at this roadside who is just staring blankly at the sky. My heart skipped a beat at parang nasasaktan ang puso ko habang tinitignan sya at ang luha na humahalo sa ulan.

I wonder what's wrong with her. I drove towards her and let down the window.

" Miss Melendez. What are you doing there?" Nahahabag kong tanong sakanya.

I didn't understand what she meant but that moment I wanted to confess all my love for her while I still have the chance.

I offered her a ride to warm her up and asked her where he should take her.

" Here, allow me to take you home." I got off the car and take her in the passenger seat. I also soaked myself in the rain but I don't mind.

" Are you okay? Do you wanna go home right now?"

" Not home. I just want to disappear for now."

I had no choice but to take her to his Condominium to atleast give her a warm shower since she doesn't want to go home.

While driving, I happened to have the only chance to open up his feelings towards Victoria. I won't hold back on this feelings anymore. It doesn't matter to me anymore if I should give up my position as the Emperor.

I just wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, the one who saved my life that night. I thought it was a feeling of gratitude. But I realized the moment she saved me from a bullet and for the second time she did not hesitate to save me. My feelings were always there. I love her and for the things she did for me. Kumunot naman ang noo ko dahil sa sinabi nya. Am I too late now?

" Just stop the car." I carefully hit the brakes and parked nearby the alley.

I was stunned when she aggressively grabbed my neck to kiss me passionately. So this is a sign that she accepted my love?
