Zoe’s POV
I sat on the couch while Alex went and changed. He didn’t say much and I wondered if he was upset with Tess and I for growling at the guard at the border. When he came out of the closet he was wearing brown dress pants and a white button-up shirt. He was currently rolling up the sleeves to show off his forearms. Why did I find that so attractive?
I got up off the couch and went into the closet to change also. I pulled on a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt. I grabbed a green cardigan to wear over the t-shirt to keep me warm. When I was done I walked back into the bedroom. Alex was still sitting on the couch and looked up at me from the floor. He motioned for me to come to sit beside him so I did without question.
