A Mistake, Error, or Defect

The skies are starting to become peaceful. The lowered sun has finally shown its light within the Masse Village. Although the pleasant radiance that the sun is sharing is not enough to hide the fact that Masse’s townsfolk have been massacred, animals left outside suffered the same fate. Quietness has plagued the Masse, with not a single one shed evidence of life. The dead bodies remain stuck as a message for the rest of the world. What message is it? Change, progress, evolution. Galiet treks in the snowy forest as he holds the baby close to his chest while the baby continues to whimper. Unknowingly, Galiet has been clenching a piece of cloth, a verdant-green dress that was torn from him seizing and pushing Kassandra aside. A caring, compassionate, gracious, kind-hearted, and pleasant smell, the sadness of autumn, the fall of autumn. No wonder, Galiet tried as much not to kill her. She was different from the rest, just like him; she cared for her child, she loves what is meaningful to her, the strength to do anything even if it costs her life. “I saw the bravery in your eyes, you didn’t blink as you tried to pull me away. I’m truly sorry,” Galiet uttered. The baby continues to whimper as if she knows what has transpired. But then, Galiet gave the baby her mother’s torn verdant-green dress; it instantly calmed her down as she fell into a deep sleep. ‘Erase those guilt, Galiet. It’s a weakness!’ Galiet desires. “It’s the least I could do, I stole her the chance, just like they stole from me my chance of a great life,” Galiet uttered. A dark shadow encompasses Galiet’s physique as he was walking the rooted forest. Large enough for his fangs to appear and the glare and his eyes return. There in front of him was a ten-foot-tall female reindeer, even though a female has a fully grown antler. Afterward, he could hear a hollowed voice of a woman coming from the deer. “What are you bickering about now, you got what you want. Now, follow me!” The reindeer said. “Step away, I’m going somewhere I need to be! I don’t need to kill you unless you want me too,” Galiet ordered. “You won’t kill me, and you don’t have somewhere to go. Follow me, God of all. I’ll show you where you needed to be,” The reindeer said. “God of all? What is this nonsense I keep on hearing about?” Galiet said. A significant presence has appeared at Galiet’s back without him noticing, and it breathes cold air accompanied by a man near him. “Listen to her,” a voice of a man said. As soon as Galiet glanced at his back, he saw the massive creature, a black hound, a face scarred and bruised along with a bald and cataract man, a red vertical parallel lines tattoo on his chin, a horizontal one from both of his eyes. He stood straight as he brushed his long white braided beard. “You should follow her, Galiet,” the blind man said. Although surrounded somehow, Galiet did not feel any harm towards them. Although I recognize that breathing and smell, it was the one who helped me from Hoch. Galiet thought, maybe I should try to see what they want from me first. Galiet looks towards where the nightingale garden is with a worried look. Afterward, he nodded to the giant reindeer. “Come this way. Don’t worry about them, someone will take care of them properly,” The reindeer said. The presences of the black hound and the blind man are gone as Galiet and the reindeer walk deeper into the forest. After a couple of minutes of trudging in the forest, it was revealed to Galiet an object of something extraordinary. In the middle of the forest was a sizeable liquified ball of white & black orbit, a current inside that resonates with each other, but the black and the white are not mixing. Near the liquified ball was an older woman dressed in a long lilac gown as she embraced a book in her chest. “It was a mysterious obscenely object, when I first laid eyes on it,” the old woman said. “What is this? What can it do?” Galiet asked. “A fault? An error in the space? A God? A magic? Something we might never understand? I do not have the answer, I have tried seeking its origin. I failed a lot of times, but my work has proved useful and here’s what I know. Come Galiet,” the old woman said. Upon stepping closer, Galiet could feel a much colder temperature that was being emitted from the ball. “It has the ability to transport you to some place. A place that you can live with the baby that you want to protect, without worrying about all the atrocity that you have done in this place. A new beginning for you paid with the lives that you have taken,” the old woman said. “They didn’t give me a choice,” Galiet said. “No, Galiet, you choose what’s right for you. And for you their lives do not matter,” the old woman said. Galiet instinctively stepped back. ‘Don’t let it get to your head, Galiet. Don’t you dare forget about us again!’ Rassa said. ‘I don’t want this feeling, I killed them, I killed a mother and stole her child. I’m a monster Rassa!’ Galiet said. ‘I know you are, that is why you have to accept it, accept everything that you have done, don’t push us aside again, do not choose to forget GALIET!’ Rassa said. Galiet stood firmly on the ground as he steps closer and speaks in a serious tone. “Where would it lead me?” “To where you should be,” the old woman said. “What do I need to do?” Galiet asked. “Walk inside the orbit,” the old woman said. He braced himself with each of his steps, removing any doubts to emerge into a new one. Then, rejecting everything that has happened, he closes his eyes. - Waking up from a nightmare as he suddenly coughs with a taste of blood in his mouth, disoriented as he looks around. A kind face of him has quickly turned furrowed as he looks at what’s in front of him, the body of his beloved sister. “KASSA!” Axar yelled. Axar hurries towards Kassandra to embrace her body that is still pierced by a sharp metal plank. He caresses her hair and wipes the dried tears on her face. “I’ll promise to myself, I’ll kill this devil even if it’s the last thing I do,” Axar said. A man clouded with mystery showed up behind him. “Would you let me try and save her?” the man said. “Do everything!”
