The Endless Loophole

Anxiety, terror, and hysteria plague the minds of Kassandra and her brother Axar that were walking back and forth, thinking for a way out in their situations as they stayed trapped inside their own home. “We should have gone when we had the chance! Why do you need to wait for him? You have been waiting for a long time, you just endangered your own baby’s lives,” Axar said. “I’m sorry, I truly do and I understand that I did, but that’s the past and here we are, we need to think of a way out of here!” “We can’t, there are man-eating crows out there that would kill us in a matter of a second, we won’t be able to leave until they are out there. So, I do not know if this connects to the blaring storm we keep hearing, but I don’t feel good about it,” Axar explained. Afraid to leave, they hid in their rooms together, with the adorable three months old baby holding the post of the bed as she tried to stand. Afterward, she steps gradually with care towards her mother’s legs. “Don’t worry, I will always protect you, Alice!” Kassandra said. She carries the baby as she puts her in the wooden crib as the baby babbles at her mother. “I will always protect you! No matter what, I promised that within my heart,” Kassandra said. The Devil Galiet Grey hovered above the sky, seemingly hoping to find someone dearly, as his eyes paced from one place to another, gritting his teeth as the time went by. “WHERE ARE YOU!” Galiet said. He roared up in the sky, followed by the relentless thunder, which sent out fear to everyone who could hear. “Do you hear that? I think it is the one called Amadeus!” Axar said. “You told me about him last night, what does he want?” Kassandra said. “The fire,” Axar uttered. “The fire?” Kassandra said. “A fire broke out in the house of the two sisters,” Axar said. “Oh no! What of Elise? Amelia?” Kassandra said. A vicious whoosh pierced their house, making a big enough hole as a man with a reddish tone gradually emerged, with his wings pacing to drop him off the floor, inside their home. A strike of fear came out suddenly in their eyes; they could not believe it. The Devil heard them and came to take their soul. Axar, a promising warrior, would not step down as he hurried toward his sword and faced the Devil Galiet. “Whoever you are!? I won’t let you kill us!” Axar said. “Where is Elise!?” The Devil Galiet said “She’s isn’t in here!” Kassandra said. “We don’t know where Elise is, she could be dead,” Axar said in a gentle voice. Upon hearing that, Galiet dashes towards Axar as he smacks his gut towards above. Plunging Axar above the ceiling, crashing on the metal supports of the roof as it falls to the floor in a dangerous position that could stab someone. Axar bounces back to the floor unconscious. “NO!” Kassandra yelled. She hurries towards Axar to check his pulse, as she felt a beat a slight relief came to her. “I won’t ask again, where is my CHILD!” Galiet yelled in anger. 'Child!?' She thought. The loud exchange they made causes the sweet, and adorable Alice to cry in her crib. Galiet glances toward the room where they can hear the baby coos and cries. Kassandra could see in the Devil’s eyes the bloody glare as she worries for the life of her baby. Galiet opened the door, and he could glimpse in his eyes the emerald eyes baby. Kassandra stood up to grab the Devil, pulling him away to the room. “I won’t let you harm her!” Kassandra uttered. But our man was delighted to see the baby; the only feeling in his heart was to feel the baby’s warmth and to hold her. Ignoring Kassandra’s pitiful strength as he pushes her aside to the floor effortlessly. Kassandra will not give in that easily as she stood up once more to pull the Devil away. Galiet snatched her hair as he pulled it strong enough to lift her off to the ground. “I’m taking her!” Galiet announced. As her feet float above the ground while Galiet is lifting her, “Please don’t take her away from me, she’s the only one left for me to remember him,” Kassandra pleaded. With a stern look, Galiet responded. “Don’t let me take your life, stay still on the floor and you might have yours safe,” Galiet ordered. He throws her on the floor away from the room as he turns his eyes to the baby. Kassandra plummets near Axar; as she glances at his sword, she seizes with both of her hands. Then, she stood up once more and charged towards the room to get between her baby and the Devil. “You just won’t let up!” Galiet yelled. As the mother Kassandra got between Galiet and the baby, she clasped her sword in her hands as she faced him. But, instead, he takes over the sword disarming her as he heaves it back to deliver a devastating thrust-attack. As Galiet was about to pierce her heart, they heard a thunderous howl all over Masse. The howl stopped him from penetrating Kassandra’s heart. However, the full-throated howling causes disorientation in his mind. “Where am I?” Galiet said. Galiet stood still as he embraced a dead cold baby in his hand, a heart that was pierced by a sword, and an autumn-haired woman wearing a verdant-green dress with a hollow wound at her heart. “Why am I here? Why is there a dead baby in my hand!” Galiet said with fright in his voice. He gazes below to see the baby’s dead mother along with the bloodied sword that killed them both. “GALIET WAKE UP!” Rassa yelled. A surprised tone came to Galiet as he stepped back, unknowingly dropping his sword to the floor. The sword that clangs to the ground sends tingles on his brain, still slightly disoriented as he gazes at what is in front of him. “I won’t let you take her, even if you kill me!” Kassandra said. The adorable baby on the crib cries behind her mother. “Elise!” Galiet uttered. “For the last time! She’s not ELISE!” Kassandra yelled. Furiously, Galiet pushes her aside, strong enough to plunge her away. Galiet propelled Kassandra’s body towards the piece of metal that collapsed from the roof. The metal was sharp enough to penetrate her body along with the force that sent her on this way. Kassandra was pierced in her body with a sharp metal plank that wedged her sitting on the floor. The dark scarlet fluid has started to flow from her heart as it spreads to the floor. The baby stood up with the help of the wooden rail as she looked toward her mother, cooing while Kassandra gazed at her, smiling. She coughs with blood as she tries to speak up. “My baby,” Kassandra uttered. Galiet proceeds to hold the baby, and he gazes at her wonderful emerald eyes. “Let’s get you somewhere safe,” Galiet said. Galiet’s bat-like wings gradually fluttered, preparing as he soared above the sky. “Her name is Alice!”
