The Broken Chain

Chapter Six.

I was ready to go out to dinner with Lucas and I was waiting by the door for him, he told me he had to go and get something from his office, he would be right back. I was wearing a dark purple loose tank top, my black leather jacket, black jeans and my biker boots. I didn't want to over dress since we were only going out to a casual dinner. Lucas was not overdress either, he was wearing black jeans, sneakers and a gray knitted sweater, he looked so sexy. I was always forgetting the age difference between us and that he was only sixteen but then again what was a number between mates and he had a lot more life experience than me. 

“Going out?”

I jerk and turn around, my heart was fluttering and I wanted to cower down in a protective position. He was so big and the aura around him was so strong and threatening, he could easily kill someone with one arm. 

“Yyeess...” I stutter at my mates father and godmothers mate. Ian. 

His face changed and he looked unpleasant by something, he walked closer to me. 

“Is something wrong? Daughter in law?” he asked. 

My eyes widen up. Daughter in law? I shake my head. 

“Okey sweety just know that you are part of the family now and if someone as much as looks at you wrong you tell me” he said and I could feel his aura get stronger. 

He really meant it, he really would protect me, I felt a little calmer. 

“Hey dad will you leave my mate alone? Its bad enough that mom is fighting with me over her” Lucas came up behind me but then he sniffed me. 

He looked angry at his father. 

“What did you say?” he asked. 

His father raised an eyebrow at his son and then looked at me, he sniffed the air a little and his face soften up a little. 

“I was just welcoming her into the family, Son you know how people react to me at first don't read too much into it. I would never scare my daughter in law on purpose” he said and then he smiled. 

Wow he was very handsome, he looked like a real womanizer. 

“Fine but just go easy around her” Lucas said while taking my hand and leads me out of the house.

The car ride was silent between us but we had the radio on just so it would not be awkward, I felt relaxed when it is just us and I don't have to stress about his touch. He held my hand even though he was driving, I didn't really pay attention to the road but I was focusing on the million kisses on my hand. When we stopped I looked out the window and saw a cute little burger joint, it had a big sign up front that said SHAKE AND BURGER. I took a deep breath and put up the spell to hide away my scent from the people in side but then Lucas closed his car door again. 

“Look Ella”

My name was like something forbidden coming from his mouth. 

“If it makes you feel better about hiding your scent then I will not say anything but you are my mate and I am the future alpha of my pack so if anyone has a problem they can take it up with me” 

My eyes filled with tears, it had taken me a few years to perfect this spell just so I could go and find my Godmother and be around her but now I have a mate telling me I don't need it. It felt like a ton had been lifted off my shoulders. I let go of the spell and let my scent envolve around me again, we walk out of the car and before we walk inside he takes me in his arms. I fell right into his embrace and I fit so perfectly into it. He rubs his hands up and down my back and then he moves a little away from me still holding me in his arms, he looked down at me. His lips came crashing down on mine, my lips respond right away and my arms move up into his hair. His tongue licked my bottom lip but I just kept on kissing him but then he did it again, I pay no mind to it since this is the third kiss of my life. Then he pinched my side a little and I gasp, his tongue then slipped into my mouth and started to dance with mine. Then he breaks the kiss but still held me tightly in his arms so I would not fall into the ground. I have never been kissed like that and I felt like I was in heaven, Kali was purring and wanting more. I could feel the heat between my legs and it was for the first time, what is that? Part of the mate bond?

No you are just turned on by your mate. 

“Ready to go in?” he asked. 

I looked up at him and I am really doubting I can walk and even more sceptical about letting him go, I want to explore more about this heat. 

I nod my head and he makes his way to my side, he puts his arm around my shoulders and I put my arm around his waist. We walk inside and when we do most of the people look up at us, I could feel that there were some happy faces but there was also some angry faces. We walk up to one of the booths in the back against the wall, he puts me so he looks into the crowd but I have my back to them and only see him. 

“Hey Luke, the same?” 

This girl comes up to the table and she looks familiar, I feel like I have seen her before. She is petite with blonde shoulder length hair, her eyes are small and her lips as well,  her nose falls perfectly into her face but her cheeks are a little chubby. She was so cute and innocent.  

“Yes Kris and make it double for my mate” 

The girls face snapped to me and she smiled this big but almost evil smile to me. 

“So you are the little trouble maker, Fin called me and told me all about you. Is it true that you can make magic?”

I was going to answer her but I heard Lucas growl at her, her face snapped to him. 

“Don't you dare think you can make her help you in whatever evil plan you have Kris! If you and Fin are planning something, keep my mate out of it I mean it!” he sounded dead serious. 

She looked back at me. 

“Comon Luke I am not planning anything, my moms have me under a straight eyes from last time and Fin is busy with you” but her tone did not match her words. 

“We will meet again later when I am not working and we can chat more, I will bring you, your burgers” she said and then walked away. 

I look at Luke. 

“That is Kristen, she is Pennys and Sigrid's daughter along with Julie. The sisters are like black and white, Julie is this sweet cute little thing but then her sister is wicked and too smart for her safety” 

I look back at the girl now standing at another table taking another order. 

“But we are not here to talk about my huge family and who you need to know and not we are here talking about us” 

I interrupted him. 

“But if I am to be a part of this huge family you have to tell me about it” 

He sighed and rubbed the back of his head. 

“Okey lets make a deal I will tell you about my family and you will tell me about yours” 

I nod my head and smiled, he smiled back at me, then he stood up and walked over to the counter where Kristen was standing holding some papers. 

Then he came back with a pen and paper. 

“Okey you will tell me if I am going to fast. Here we have the moms. Stella, Ana and Penny. Pennys mate is Sigrid and both of them had one girl. Penny and Sigrid have Kristen and Julie, they are both fourteen. Then there is Ana, she has Ben and Fin they are the same age as me, Manny that is the same age is the girls and then Elmar that is ten. Then last but certainly not least my mom Stella, she as me and Iris Olive, my sister is also fourteen” 

I am looking at all the names on the paper and I am impressed by all the names and all this family. 

“How are the three moms connected?” I ask. 

“Oh, they are just friends from childhood and they have not parted since, Both Aunt Ana and Aunt Penny live on the pack grounds. Now tell me about your family”

“My mother died when she gave birth to me, she was the high priestess of her coven but ran away when she realized she was my father mate. My father is a beta from his pack but he ran away as well when he realized she wanted to be with him. Then when I was born and sick, my aunt came and helped me. She was next in line to be the high priestess but she turned it down because she does not crave power but peace. Or that's what she tells me. I have lived with my father and aunt all my life and I have been locked away in our hideout but I understood why I had to be hidden because people do not want freaks like me to live” I finish.

He takes my hand and I look up at him, he is smiling. 

“Thank you for telling me, what was the name of your fathers pack?”

“Night Howlers” 

His face hardens a little. 

“And your mothers coven?” 

“The nightshade coven”
