Speaking of Michael, Mara began wondering how long Korma planned to keep him in coma. His body would suffer from numbness and non-activity. Just then someone greeted welcome, hello, Mickey”. From what Mara knew, “Mickey” was what her Uncle's colleagues called him.
Turning behind her, she met her Uncle’s stare. He was fully dressed in his uniform.
Mara was confused. Did her Uncle recover? “No way, this is Korma.” Mara muttered. Korma had revived Michael. How did she do that? What did she need him for now? To kill someone?
Michael began walking toward Mara but she sped into the office her mother was. “What is it?” Leah asked. “Uncle Michael is here. She revived him” Mara whispered in Leah’s ears. Her mother’s eyes shone.
“Is something wrong?” the FBI agent attending to Leah asked. She shook her head and held Mara’s hands. Korma had revived Michael and sent him here. It only means one thing – Korma knew she had reported to the FBI.
She could manipulate Michael to disrupt the case. “Sir, this case shouldn’t be told to every agent here. It is sending as you know” Mara explained to the agent.
It was as if she could read her mother’s mind. The agent was impressed by Mara’s authority, he nodded, “the moment the chief gives the “go-ahead” order, we’ll get the alien lady. No one else needs to know.”
Quietly but cautiously, Leah escapes from the FBI quarters away from Michael’s notice.
Unknown to Leah, Michael shouldn’t be her problem. Korma had used Michael’s ID card to infiltrate the quarters. Leah need not hide, Korma knew she was there.
The Chief was still in his office upstairs when Korma knocked. She was wearing a red short dress that showed her long legs. She let her golden hair pour down. As she walked in, she faked a sad expression.
The Chief, Chief Ramsen, was shocked to see her. “Sir, I came to report something. My husband physically abuses me” Korma cried. The Chief’s eyes glued to her exposed chest, but he drags his eyes away.
“You could tell one of the agents downstairs. Why come here?” Chief Ramsen enquired, Korma walks towards him “I came to see you” she bites her lips slowly.
The Chief eyes follows her movements. She pushes her hair to her back. He keeps looking at her.
When Korma was sure he had lusted her, she began the spell.
Her eyes turned blue. “By the spirits of Zeug, you shall be my puppet. Answer my call and only my call”. The Chief is transfixed. Korma smiles. Leah would be frustrated out of her when her plans don’t work out. And for Mara, she will fulfill her promise and “take her soul”.
Or maybe her mother’s soul. The Chief returns back to consciousness but as a puppet. “Delay the case of the alien immediately” Korma orders. He nods and bring out a file from his drawer and begins writing.
Korma escapes from the window. Leah had successfully dropped Mara back at the hospital. She needed to speak to the Chief alone, nothing should go wrong that will jeopardize the chance of catching Korma. “Thinking of me?” Korma shouts behind Leah.
Leah turns and anger flushed her face red. They were at the car garage of the hospital. “What did you do with Michael, you witch?” Leah cursed.
Korma brings out a penknife from her pocket and begins swinging it, “I thought you knew I was alien, why call me a witch” she smirks. “And what are you doing here?” Leah frowned. “You were thinking of me, aren’t you glad, I came” Korma begins swirling her penknife. Leah rushes into her car and uses it to charge at Korma, but Korma dodges and throws a knife towards her, but it gets stuck in her car glass.
“Honestly, killing you like this won’t be fun” Korma exhales. “You’re a lowly human that I love torturing. I left a little surprise at the FBI quarters. Hope you like it?” and Korma disappears from the garage.
Fear began building up in Leah’s heart. What surprise had been kept for her? Could Korma had killed Michael? Did she destroy the FBI agents? Did she use Michael to destroy them?
Leah staggers out of her car, she packs her belongings out of it. She goes to the back and front of the car and tears her plate number from it.
She abandons her car and takes a taxi back home. She had to run away. She could only hope nothing happened to the FBI agents. Korma knew, and she would be after their life.
Well, if Korma was smart enough, she won’t start committing multiple murder of government officials or she will be killed the moment she is captured.
A nurse came into Mara’s ward and helps her pack her belongings. Leah had demanded that her daughter return home. A friend, Prof. Eleanor, had come to pick up Mara.
“Is something wrong, Miss Ellie? Why are you here to pick me?” Mara asked. The professor shook her head, all she had known was that it was urgent for Leah and Mara to stay in her house for some time.
She and Leah go way back as teenagers so she will be happy to help, especially now it seemed urgent.
Leah tries calling an agent friend at the FBI quarters, the same agent she had reported. “Um…Leah, I don’t know. But the Chief delayed the case. When I asked why, he threatened to dismiss it. He said it was a wild goose chase.” the agent says. Leah opens her mouth to say something but shuts it. This was beyond the agents.
Could it be Korma bribed Chief Ramsen? This was her surprise, wasn’t? “Mom, are you okay?” Mara sits beside her mom. She had been watching her from a distance and Leah had done nothing more than look into space and think.
Leah looks to her and says “Earth has been invaded by the most deadly and smartest of all outer space creatures”. She pats her hair and continues “so we must be safe but not weak, we must be cautious but still conquer”.
