Chapter Six - His Plan.

1096 Words
Mara was glad her mother had believed her, from the fact Korma was an alien to the part Uncle Michael had strangled her to the threat Korma gave. Also why shouldn’t mom believe her? Mom was really interested in aliens these days. Perhaps she had a hunch about it too. Well, her hunch was so correct. Leah had lived with an alien for twelve years. “Mom, what do you think of this theory?” Mara asked, unfolding the little paper. Leah read it. It seemed fake but threatening. Leah had a strange feeling about this. The theory gave her the vibes Korma gave her, a fake but seemingly threatening vibe. When Mara explained it was Korma’s theory, Leah smirked, it was a matching vibe. “Another rubbish, my dear, God, the creator of Earth won’t let some aliens ruin his precious art” Leah tried reaching out to the FBI, the matter would go farther with them. They had reported so many files of aliens missing so they’d take this one seriously. They would guard it well too. And when she thought of it, Leah guessed that they are some possibilities Korma manipulated Michael to steal some files on aliens at his place of work. She might not have been the first of her specie to land on Earth so the FBIs must have had past records. Maybe why Korma was interested in Michael was to use him, as an FBI agent. Mara watched her mom. It was evident her mom was having a large conference in her head because she kept turning her head to the right and left and muttering some words. Could her mom be worried about the theory? The theory didn’t make sense. Except…if…or… “Mom, could the invasion of Earth by aliens be the end of the world that had been prophesied?” Leah glanced at Mara. Her eight year old daughter was really thinking far. End of the world? She shook her head. “The end of the world is something else and not an alien invasion”. Mara nodded in agreement. “Can I go see Uncle?” she asked. Leah thought of it, “no” she replied. First, they had to go to the FBI to report this. Korma is unpredictable at the moment. She could manipulate Michael again. On opening the door, Leah saw Doctor Fawn. He was wearing a wide grin. Leah wondered how long why he had been staying there. Did he hear them? It doesn’t matter if he does anyway. The whole world is about to know. “How’s Mara?” the Doctor asked. Mara appeared beside my mother. Doctor Fawn squats to her “Feeling better?” Mara nodded. “I heard some of your discussions, not all though. But I have a better idea to handle the alien” Doctor Fawn still wore his grin. Mara was wide eyes. He heard everything. But Leah wasn’t, she planned to talk to him about it. He was their top scientist, he would know either ways. “And what’s your plan? Shouldn’t we involve the FBI” Leah asked Doctor Fawn ran into the room, pushed them in and locked the room. “That’s a good idea” Mara exclaimed. Leah still had doubts about the Korma. Presumably, she was a trained alien agent sent to Earth. Secondly, her cover has been blown she would be so alert. Thirdly, there are good chances she’s using magical powers because she seemed to never age and she manipulates people. So, using the dead body parts of her dead off springs could give us a little lead on what kind of creature she is. The plan sounds fine and less stressful – but also too easy. Korma made sure all leads if the creatures that seemed like her has been taken away. She could have thought of someone digging up her dead off springs for experiments. She could be around the grave site anyway. It was too risky. “What do you think?” Doctor Fawn referred to Leah. She shook her head slowly “Too risky. We need the FBI. They could easily subdue her and take the corpses”. Leah was sure Doctor Fawn was frowning. Though his lips looks normal and his cheeks like they were cheerful but his face was a drag. His plan wasn’t safe – also, if she thought of it critically, it seemed too selfish. Why didn’t he want the FBI involved? It was a matter of national security. What if something went wrong. “We’ll go to the FBI now” Leah held Mara to leave. “But.. it'll.. please” Doctor stammered but they were gone. Leah questioned herself for telling the Doctor all she knew about Korma. The doctor was beginning to give her chills. “Mom, Doctor Fawn's plan seems cool. Maybe the FBI shouldn’t know yet” Mara said. Leah ignored her. All she knew, the FBI must know. Doctor Fawn wasn’t pleased with Leah’s decision, it would add to his reputation if he finds and uncovers the fact of his alien. He was indeed being selfish. Though he still wanted to protect his planet from a possible invasion. “Fine, do it your way” he said, “I’ll do mine”. Few miles to the FBI quarters, a thought strikes Mara. “Mom, aunt Korma could manipulate anybody, right? Everyone including us?”. Her big blue eyes locked with her mother’s. Leah looked away to think. It was a good question. Leah never thought hard in it. She knew she’s too strong willed to get manipulated by Korma, but what about others? Well, perhaps Korma had a particular way she does it. Or else, she could have easily decided to manipulate anyone she meets. “Not sure, dear. But be alert. We’ll go through this” Leah smiled. To Mara, that wasn’t very assuring. If Korma could manipulate her Uncle, who was an FBI agent, then she possibly could manipulate other FBI agents. They needed a bigger plan, whatsoever. People who gets manipulated by her don’t end well – like her Uncle and maybe uncle Max. And they might not be a definite way of being free from her. She had to release you herself, maybe. “And you can’t ask her nicely” Mara exhales. Earth is on for a big threat, bigger than it imagined.
