(Angela's POV)

The next morning I asked Joshua if he could take me to see Natalia, he took me, I felt like I lost a sister, if I had been faster and a better fighter, I would've gotten to her faster, but I wasn't good enough...

"Angela, Stop!" said my wolf, as I cried even more, Joshua hugged me, the way my father use to. After a while we had to go, I had work to do, I really had to push down my emotions and get work done, everything was so familiar now, it wasn't as bad, but it kept me busy all day, then in the afternoon, I went to the club, luckily Jasmine was able to cover my absence with the others sense we were still taking turns this week was mine, so I went back. This time I was doing a hip hop one, just to get my thoughts really away from everything, and again there he was Tyler was watching from the VIP section. and again I could feel his eyes burn into my skin, buy the end I finished and headed to the house, got in the shower and straight to bed, Nora hated it when I did that but I was exhausted, and I didn't want Tyler to know I was the one dancing at the club.

The next morning, I was surprised to catch Tyler still home, but he called me to the office.

"What's up?"

He looked at me, and just stared at me.

"What?" I asked again this time got to his feet and sat on the edge of his desk, in front of me and looked at me face to face.

"I know this is a hard time, Angela, but don't forget we still have a mate ship to seal."

I choked on how liberal he was in saying it, honestly I had even forgotten about it, but I guess he was right. Jasmine and Natalia explained what it was, by sealing he means we had to get into bed, but I wasn't feeling in the mating mood for right now.

"Um...what do you want me to do, exactly and by when?"

for some reason I wished I hadn't said anything like that, his eyes, his jet black eyes had some yellow in them, as he walked toward me, and I backed into the door, he came very close to my ear very softly he just said.

"Soon."

I could feel my heart banging against my rib cage at his words, because he could mean it in many different ways, that's what made me nervous.

"Okay, I understand."

He huffed a little I could feel his breath just below my jaw line, he ran his nose along it, then he kissed the corner of my mouth.

"I hope you really do."

With that he pushed off the door and it opened, I quickly walked out and into the hall, where i took a couple steadying breaths

One of the tough things both Jasmine and I had to do was, get Natalia's room cleaned up, we decided I wanted to keep a couple things, I knew wouldn't mind, and Jasmine agreed and the rest we took to the good will in town, we took our time, telling stories as we packed the stuff away, she was truly the sister I never had, by the time we got done I felt closer to her. When we moved things around I found a box of things under her bed, books and notes of something, she never told me she was looking into things.

There was family trees and notes of names, some dates, and even some pictures of people. One had similar features as Tyler, on the back it said Victor White, Tyler's father, and one which was blurry but it showed a beautiful blond woman, her eyes looked like bottomless pits, Tyler's seemed warmer by far. Then their family tree, going back to when my great grand parents were alive, Natalia had made her family tree and it went back to my great aunt and then to our great grandparents.

She hadn't had time to change things, but this gave me an idea of who my family was. I continued looking through the stuff and found a note she wrote when i first arrived.

"There was an other Gomez family member, it makes me sick grandma never told me about her little sister, but now that I know I want to make things right, Angela seems so lost and uncared for, and even then she's trusting us enough to stay, I hope I get to know her, and show her, she was never meant to be left out in the dark and cold world alone, I have never believed in this stupid curse, and that it falls to us to break it, with what I've found things seem more simple, but how to prove it is going to be the next challenge, I hope I get the chance to tell Angela all this and together we can find the answers."

I cried as I read this, and was grateful I had gotten the chance to know her, and even it was for a short time. I reread the note, and took in her words of a curse, and how it fell to us to break it. Who could I ask about this at all? I took the stuff to my room, and hid it. I took the list of names to the public library more because I didn't want to get caught, but I looked and looked and found nothing on any of the names, except one, Tyler's mother and the name of an other child...no two other children, and a different father.

"What are you doing?"

I had been so caught up on things, I didn't even hear him walk in behind me.

"Um... nothing just doing some research."

"On?"

I had brought in Natalia's family tree and had fortunately, left it on top of Tyler's.

"My family, with me just popping up it got me thinking, if I might have other family out there."

Tyler walked over to the table and looked down at the books I had, but he seemed to take my excuse and nodded.

"Come on I'm hungry let's go eat."

"Oh, I'm not..." at that moment my stomach growled, giving me zero chance to lie.

He just grinned and we got the books put away, that's when I recognized the librarian , she lived in the village. So much for not being caught, then I took Natalia's notes and put them in my folder and in my bag. Tyler took me to a pizza place that had just opened, the smells had my mouth watering, we took a seat at the back of the place he looking toward the door, and me giving it my back. Soon we placed our orders of wings, drinks and pizza. He liked pineapple on his, gross, I just asked for a all meat lovers, I still had to get my blood count up.

Once our drinks came, he seemed to settle better.

"So why the sudden interest in your family?"

"Well, before I knew I did have a family, I had nobody, I was alone for a great part of my life and honestly, it just never occurred to me that maybe I wasn't."

"Julie was here for a while, she lives in the city you and the girls went to do your shopping at."

"Hmm, let me think about it, from the little Nat told me of my aunt and uncle they don't seem the welcoming type."

"Very true, Goddess forbid you're a fortune hunter."

"They  sound a lot like my dad, he had my mom on a short leash too, everything she did she had to account for, I was never in sports because it cost him money, any thing that didn't keep me home was, things of the world trying to corrupt  me, women weren't suppose to think the men did all the thinking for us."

"Sounds like my father, that's why I ran away at sixteen, he wanted me to keep the women around me under my thumb, but it felt wrong."

"Sounds like they would've been heck a friends if they had meet." I smiled he huffed a small laugh.

"Um...how did your parents die, I know in a car crash but..."

He was interrupted by the pizza and wings arriving and we spoke of different things as we ate. He asked what I liked I told him, I was into helping people feel beautiful, make up, nails, and hair stuff. I had been taking courses when I was turned, but the chemical smells burned my nostrils, and somethings required a light touch at first I didn't know how to do that, but now I got the hang of things. We actually shared some stories of when he first opened his construction business and the things the news students got up to in my classes by the end we were laughing and grinning from ear to ear. We paid, left a tip and headed out. Joshua had dropped me off at the library and had planned to walk to the village but now it was dark so I went with Tyler in the truck.

"So?"

"What?" I asked.

"How did it happen?" he was talking about the car crash.

"Mom, had found a way for me to get into soccer, I was at an away game, that day Dad found out and they were driving to the town I was playing at, Dad was going to make sure I understood my place, and he was going to do it in front of my mom so we both learned the lesson, Mom drove the car off the road, into a loader truck, killed both of them, she was two months pregnant."

"I'm sorry you had to live through that alone, Angie."

"Even my grandmother, my dad's mom, blamed me for it, saying if I'd just learned to obey, that wouldn't of happened."

"You didn't want that kind of life, you fought back the only way you knew how."

"I kinda got that for a while, I was very lucky, a amazing family took me in, for the two years, I was in foster care, the daughter was the one that taught me to glam up and to express myself, but once I turned eighteen, I moved out, I heard the couple moved away after I left and I never heard from the daughter either."

"That's a shame, I would've liked to thank them."

I smiled at him, when we got to the house, we walked up to our rooms, I walked past him, but he was right behind me, in seconds.

"Good night."

"Good night to you too." before I went into my room he leaned toward me and kissed me softly on the lips, the simpleness of it was enough to have my head spinning, when he pulled back, I felt a little dazed.

"Good night Angela."

Again I smiled and went into my room closing the door behind me softly, leaning on it for a while before daring to walk again my legs wanted to give out from under me, and there were more then a dozen butterflies in my stomach, when I finally heard his footsteps retreat, I dared move, and got ready for bed.

That night you could hear the thunder and see some lightening, soon after the rain started, after i finished with my shower,  got dressed and braided my hair back. I sat there thinking about my dinner with Tyler. He was kind and really does want to change things for the better, even when his father, taught him differently, we have fought the expectations of life and have become better, I just hoped I could live up to Natalia's example to make the pack better.

I woke up the next morning, complete aroused and it was my heat week either, my dreams had been very explicit, and with Tyler's promise that soon we'd be mated had me on edge, I got ready and headed down stairs to eat something light and was about to head to training when, Jasmine let me know. they had canceled, there was a flash flood warning, because the rain had really been coming down. I really didn't want to stay in here with my imagination, so I told her I was going for a short run.

Half way through my run I wished I hadn't they weren't joking that the water was really coming down, I was soaked to the bone already. But I kept going until I suddenly felt like I was being followed, I stopped and looked back, nothing. Then i looked in front of me, and there were four or five mean same grinning and others just staring.

"Well now, what's a pretty thing like you, doing out here all alone?" Said one of them, I recognized his voice right away, it was that blond guy, that killed Natalia, my anger flared as I clenched my hands, trying to control myself.

"Nothing, if you excuse me.."

"Whoa where do you think you're going?" said an other man, as he and one other blocked my way.

"Stay we're about to have some fun."

"Not interested!" I said firmly, now trying to go the way I came, but I was closed in.

"These she-wolves really are stuck up bitches aren't they?" said the blond guy as he walked toward me. he put a hand on my cheek , I slapped it away, he gave me a grin.

"Boys." then two guys grabbed my arms behind me.

"What not man enough to take rejection?!"I said as the hold on my arms got tight.

"I'll make you a deal, you deny my kiss and this," he pulled a small boy from behind one of the other men," little guy won't take a dirt nap."

"You really want to risk kissing me right now?"

He put his hand on the boy's head, and smiled, making the warning clear.I hurt him, he'd hurt the boy.

Then very slowly he came toward me, smacking me across the face, making my lip bleed, then really roughly and sloppily kissed me, if you could even call it a kiss. When he pulled back, he had a triumphant grin on his face.

"This one belongs, to my little cousin boys, you know what that means!"

Soon all the men started to crowd me, before I couldn't move I started to kick ad hit everyone then jumped up into a tree, grabbed the kid and ran with him in my arms. the group of guys right behind us. I didn't look behind it would just slow me down, but I made turns and stuff trying to lose them, nothing, I suddenly found myself at the edge of the river that was now a fast current of dark water.

"No, where else to run girlie, rather then die a wet and cold death, have some fun with us, and you can go, see if my little cousin still wants you after all of us have our turn with you."

"looks like we have a little spy." one of the men pushed a little girl forward too.

"Shit." I said under my breath, it wasn't bad enough I had one kid to save now two, she ran toward me, I knew them and I knew they were brother and sister, I couldn't expose them like to what they do to me. and I had a feeling we'd die in the river, it was too wide to jump with both of them, I was still weak from the blood loss. I had to make a choice.

"Everything is going to be alright, stay here and stand still okay, don't look behind you no matter what you hear okay."

They both nodded and I faced them toward the water, and walked back toward the guys, they were all excited and happy saying who was going first. I walked right up to the blond guy, gave him a light kiss, then pulled away, readied myself and said.

"You wish." I then ran at full speed toward the kids and jumped toward the other side, and I knew I wasn't going to make it before I hit the water I pushed the kids onto shore, I quickly pulled under the water the kids ran back to the village hopefully to sound the alarm, I tried and tried to stay above the water, but it was too strong, I tumbled and tossed around in the water, until I started feeling heavy and sleepy, i just closed my eyes and went to sleep.
