I squinted through the windscreen, barely able to see in front of me and swore loudly as I turned the music down to help me concentrate and dropped my speed just a little more. The road barriers were difficult to see and even the familiar landmarks of the towering pines that lined the steep slopes at the side of these roads were invisible now.
I should be around halfway there by now. My parents had bought a house tucked away in a little grouping of four properties on the outskirts of town.
