"Morgan is the one who found your parents and brought them back to town." She states simply as I sigh in frustration.
"f*****g hell Sarah! You could have told me sooner so that I could at least thank the man!" I exclaimed as my head turned towards where I had seen him last, but his truck that sat across from where I had parked my own car showed no signs of movement..
"Your thanks would have been wasted on him Melanie," She admonishes, "I highly doubt that an unintelligible grunt is a satisfying response to your heartfelt words."
I grimaced and knew instantly that she was right. If he was as curt and bad tempered as earlier, I probably would have dissolved into tears in front of him.
