Daniel reluctantly agreed and sat back down. “I am not making any promises,” He said.
Pamont continued. “Once in the cave, I led your mother to through the other portal. I had made arrangements with a local tribe to take care of her. But we were attacked before I could lead her to safety. She managed to escape. I was captured and brought back. The Vizier agreed to let me go if I did not mention the cave to anyone, and if I acted as a spy.”
