My day turned out well, I was able to say thank you sa staff ng Mayor since He was so busy and went on my way to meet Ari.
"Keigh, over here" tawag pansin ni Ari habang papasok ako sa Moon Struck cafe
"Nakapagpahinga ka na ba?" I asked her habang nilalagay ang paper bag na may laman na damit ko kanina
"of course. Kumusta ang pagpunta mo sa beach?" she asked while looking at the menu board
Ikinuwento ko naman sa kanya ang boung pangyayari and she looked so surprise upon hearing my encounter with the mayor
"w-what? Did I say something wrong?" I asked confused
"seriously Keigh? You don't remember him?" Ari asked
"he just looked familiar" sagot ko habang sinusubukan kong hanapin sa isip ko kung saan ko ba siya nakita talaga. Simula kaninang umaga ay iba ang kutob ko sa taong yun it felt like I have met him already
"naalala mo noong second year college tayo? The very first time na nakapunta ka dito" pagpapaalala nito
"y-yes?" pagdadalawang isip ko
"we went to Costa Corazon sa mansion nina lola it is where we decided to try our very first alcoholic drink? You were kinda tipsy that night when you saw a picture and said Hi Handsome! If the day comes, will you marry me?" nakataas kilay na sabi nito
"and... You even praised him saying he looks dashing, he is handsome and that you'll give yourself up if he will ask you that night?" nanunuyang sabi nito
"and when we went to the beach you were dancing like crazy kasi sabi mo you were dancing with him and to top it all when my cousins came and you saw him you even kissed him dahil akala mo panaginip lang yun or maybe some kind of illusion " natatawang wika nito
"oh please, tama na nga! Nakakahiya may makarinig sayo at isa pa dala lang iyon ng kalasingan Ari. Nakakahiya yung ginawa ko noon" pinandilatan ko tuloy ng mata si Ari sa sinabi nito, ang tagal kaya bago ako naka move on sa pangyayaring yun.
Hiyang-hiya ako sa sarili ko kaya maaga pa lang ay sinabi ko na kay Ari na lumuwas na ulit kami at ngayon na pinaalala na naman niya, I just wish I won't see him again while I'm here
"Tse! That cousin of mine whom you've molested before and the mayor that you're talking about is the same girl" and there it is Ari dropped a bomb right in my face
"nakakahiya! Paano kung naalala niya yun?" nanlalamig kong sabi
"sa dami ng babae ni Tristan noon ay nakalimutan niya na yun girl, he did more than kissing sa ibang babae kaya chill ka lang" natatawang wika ni Ari
I tried to calm my nerves and tried to enjoy our bonding. After our coffee time we went straight to the mall to buy stuff
"by the way ari, naglalagi ba si Tristan sa.."
"hindi naman. Pumupunta lang yun doon kung pagod na talaga siya at kung may maaga siyang lalakarin. Why?"
"wala naman" tipid kong sabi. I did not dare to tell her na mukhang doon natulog ang pinsan dahil common place naman nila iyon
Ari and I continued shopping, bumili ako ng 3 pares ng bikini dahil may balak akong maligo sa pool nila at sa dagat na rin pag may oras uli si Ari.
Papunta kami ng grocery when someone called her and by the look on her face it might be serious. Napatingin naman si Ari sa akin
"go ahead. I will be fine" I said smiling. She hugged and apoligizes to me. I gave her my assurance as I bid her goodbye. I then went straight to buy some groceries so I could at least cook at the penthouse.
It was around six when I arrived back, kahungkagan iyon ang una kong naramdaman. Ever since my twin died para bang kalahati ng buhay ko ay nailibing kasama niya. I saw how much he wanted to fight and worst is I saw how he suffered until his last breath.
Mapait na ngiti iyon ang bumakat sa aking mukha habang inaayos ko ang pinamiling groceries. After I arranged everything, I took a quick shower then started to cook dinner.
Chicken Alfredo, garlic bread and potato wedges. I smiled seeing the food on the table, funny how I wanted to be a chef before but my parents really 6 me to follow their footsteps. I took a bottle of wine na nabili ko kanina then sadly stares at my food, nakakalungkot kaya kumain mag-isa.
I was about to put food on my plate when the door opens and voila! Tristan Montereal, Bro sinabi ko lang naman pong malungkot kumain mag-isa bakit naman po nagpadala kayo ng makakasama ko at siya pa talaga,sure na po ito?
He look stunned seeing me beside the table
"Hi, uhmm I'm Keighlanie I am Ari's friend" nahihiya kong pakilala sabay abot ng aking kamay
"Tristan, I assume we saw each other earlier" malamig na tyran nito habang nilalapag ang gamit sa sofa na naroon
"Yeah sa beach. Hmm, kumain ka na? Nagluto ako ng dinner" I said as I showed him the food that I cooked
I did not get any response from him, he place the documents on the table near the sofa and took of his leather jacket,he then walk slowly towards the dining table
I immediately leap to get him his plate, he immediately place chicken alfredo on him plate and started eating. Mahabang katahimikan ang naghari sa amin at nagsalita lamang ito ng matapos na siyang kumain.
"how long will you be here?" he asked suddenly. Muntikan na tuloy akong mabilaukan
"I don't know but I did ask Ari to help me find a place"
"You can stay here we won't mind. Are you working or anything?" tanong nito, talkshow host ata to
"not at the moment. I just want to run away from everything" malungkot kong turan as I once again remember the things that had happened
"I see.. You love running away huh?" komento nito pagktapos ay kumuha ito ng tubig sa ref at deretsong pumanhik sa kwarto nito
Naguluhan tuloy ako sa naging sagit nito ni hindi man lang ako binigyan ng chance to explain myself, suplado pala ang gwapong mayor.
Nabilaukan tuloy ako sa huli kong sinabi pero kidding aside he indeed is super gwapo yung tipong ilalagay sa bulsa mo para di makita ng iba.
Napailing na lamang ako sa aking naisip, it's quite awkward being with him in the same room pero siguro naman hindi ito naglalagi dito. Sinulyapan ko uli ang nakalapat na pinto nito saka nagligpit ng pinagkanan namin.
I just hope one day I could be happy again, genuinely happy.
