Chapter 21
I curled up on my side and pulled my knees close to my chest. I wanted to put my arms over my head, to tuck myself into a tighter ball, but everywhere any part of my body touched another part was agony. I felt those electric jolts dancing all over me.
Then those jolts slowed their velocity and intensity. I still couldn't get up, and I didn't even want to open my eyes.
But I could hear someone still pounding on that red door. Help was so close, but it couldn't get to me. So I would just have to find a way to get to it.
