37. Sinning

The taxi that’s taking me to the hospital isn’t moving fast enough to my taste, and it is no wonder that when I arrive, I am totally freaking out on the inside. The receptionist tells me the floor and room number, and as I head there, my anxiety skyrockets with every step I take forward. I have to remind myself that I must not run, that it’s a hospital, but needless to say that I fast-walk there. I do not know how I managed to reach the room with my sanity intact, with all the scenarios that keep roaming my mind, giving me a headache. I knock on the door, out of politeness, and enter without waiting for the permission to enter.
