A deal

The man looked at the wolf who had her mouth open ajar. The expressions written on her face were enough to make him scoff. These mortals were all same. He paid a little attention to them and they were ready to bite the hand that feed them. "I don't go around killing people." Gina pressed her lips together. "And you are saying this after killing my mate." Genesis chuckled as he leaned back. His body started heating up while Gina watched him not knowing what to do. "He is the first mortal I killed because he deserved to die." "Just because you think he stole your ring." Gina rolled her eyes in anger. "Nah uh. Now I think about it, I actually saved your life." He told her and stood up before Gina could question him further. Her eyes followed him as he disappeared in the distance. For the next day, she kept thinking about what Genesis told her. There were few things she find about Genesis, he would never lie even if his life was on stake. The next day, she was in his room who still underwater. Feeling her energy, he emerged on the surface. His Silver hair moved as waved in the water. "This place is not some park where you can come and go as you please." He did not look happy seeing her there while Gina sat on the edge of the pool and watched him silently. "That day, when you threw me in the water, I saw someone." She added who did not look interested in what she was saying. "I think it was Avery." She noticed Genesis eyes flinching a little. He knitted his brows and played with ice cold water. "I don't want to talk about it." "You need to listen to me. I saw him as if he was standing next to me. I felt the same energy that I felt the same day my parents died. I thought you killed him as Oams says and you killed my parents but now I think Avery was killed by the same person who killed my parents." Gina tried to argue as she thought she solved the mystery while Genesis got out of the water and sat on the edge with his legs still in the water. "I don't care." This was not what Gina expected. She thought, he might help her in finding the killer. "I got my ring back and that's it." He waved his fingers and water moved in pattern in the pool. "Why not? Don't you want to find what happened with Avery? What if something bad happened with him? What if...." "I am not interested in anything. You can leave now." He told her rather annoyed and again jumped in water. Gina sat there and waited but after a long time he did not appear on the surface. Gina left the room not knowing what to do now. That day, Omas came to meet her. Seeing that she did nothing to find the ring, he was angry and kept insulting her for being useless. "One thing and you can't even do it properly. Handing you the responsibility of being a savior to these mortals will be a mistake." He scoffed and Gina looked at him rather stunned. In a second, he showed her what place she has in this world. "I ... I will find that ring." She quickly replied who did not say anything as he put a cold glance on her and disappeared in the air. Gina pressed her lips together. She decided to do something about the ring even though that ring was important to her. Whenever she lost it, she suffered a lot. Her parent's death and then the death of her mate, she did not want anything else bad happen in her life. But it seemed like, she was late again to put her life together as she find Genesis was leaving for the dragons kingdom. He needed someone to share their life energy with him and it was easy to find such a victim in dragon Kingdom than here. Also, Gina's presence only proved a nuisance to him. As Xiro left with the stuff, he glanced at the pool. This pool was the only happy place he had in this temple and where he could stay away from gods that hated him. As he turned, he was startled to find Gina. The wolf was following him everywhere. "Where are you going? You can't leave like this." Gina held his wrist. He was the last hope for her to get her wolf back. Genesis blinked feeling the coldness from her palm. "Please, you can't leave. That day, I felt my wolf because of your energy. I know, you are in pain and I should not stop you like this but.... please....just stay for a bit longer. I ... I will do anything for you." She nearly begged him who wanted to pull his hand away but Gina held it tightly. "Do you have any idea what you are saying?" Genesis felt she had gone crazy. He wanted to leave because was scared of her. He could feel he was going to get in trouble because of her. "I will share my life force with you. Isn't this why your are leaving?" She offered him who squinted his eyes. Sharing life force with a mortal meant she will die in the end. However, the coldness seeping in his skin made him greedy. The life force of a mortal was more pure than any immortal. He wanted to reject but a voice in his head kept bugging him to accept the deal. "Okay." "Okay? I mean...okay.... it's a deal." Gina could not believe things happened this easily. "I will share my life force with you and you will help me in getting my wolf back. I will work hard and be a great alpha." She smiled brightly while the dragon watched her silently. He could not understand why she was so happy on the deal when she will be dead once he drained all her life force. .....
