Genesis was leaning against the crown of the stone bed. The bed was made of a special stone that stays cold throughout the year. Because he was half god and half dragon, his body was always hot. The only solution was to accept his dragon form but he was too scared to do so knowing it will only being destruction.
Thousands of years back, a war broke between gods and dragons. The dragon king and the gods signed a treaty and this was when the moon goddess met the dragon king. Their love story began and the moon goddess became pregnant. Even though the gods were against this relationship, they could do not nothing. When Genesis was born, he was neither a god nor a dragon completely. The two worlds did not want him either and since then he was ignored by his parents. He lived a lonely life being called useless and was never accepted by anyone.
"Xiro, I feel bad for killing her."
Genesis sighed and sat up while Xiro could not say anything.
"But she had to die, right. What if mother find out I killed a mortal? She was going to hate me forever."
He tried to give a reason to justify what he did but he paused seeing the person who was standing just being Xiro.
Was she dead? Was this her soul? Is she here to haunt him down?
He blinked and raised his hand as he pointed towards the silver wolf who did not look amused. Xiro turned his head and was startled to see Gina there.
Gina wrapped her arms over her chest.
"Unfortunately, I am not dead."
She suddenly felt brave. She was a Silver Alpha who was going to lead all the wolves while these two were just losers.
She calmly walked towards the stone bed and sat on it while the two men gasped.
"Mortal, you are disrespecting the master..." Xiro warned her who looked at him and smiled.
"You know, I was very respectful towards you two even though I had such a luxury life. My wolf is asleep yet I am still a female alpha."
She paused and watched them one by one.
"You pathetic rejected losers..." Her tone changed and as she glared at Genesis he was fast to get off the bed and stand behind Xiro who looked stunned.
"Even your own people has no respect for you and you two thought you can order me around. Listen to me, from now on I am the boss here. You two will do as I say. Now get lost."
She waved her hand and as the two nearly ran from there, she pressed her lips together.
Omas was right. These two were nothing.
She inhaled deeply as now she did not has to be afraid of them. She was over the death of her mate. She was not interested in anything except the duty she was given. She was going to protect the women so no one will suffer from injustice like she did.
She was still sitting there when a woman came near her and greeted her. Gina did not see her before. There were few maid but they were assigned work in other parts of the temple and she only saw them from afar or only greeted them once or twice.
"My name is Tasha. I will be taking care of you until Moon goddess comes back."
She told her who nodded and smiled back at her. Tasha was the guardian of the temple who just arrived today as ordered by the Deity of war.
She stayed with Gina and briefed her about the temple and it's rules.
For the next two days, Gina did not see Genesis anywhere. She would meditate for hours trying to connect with her wolf but all was useless. That day she was sitting in the garden that was at the back of the Temple while Tasha was taking care of the plants. Suddenly a sharp sound startled her and she looked in the direction of the sound.
"What was that?"
Gina questioned the other woman who again got busy in her work.
"The dragon must be doing something stupid again."
Tasha smiled softly.
"Now I can see why everyone sees him as a useless loser."
Gina rolled her eyes.
"Not everyone."
Tasha walked towards her mad sat beisde her in the bench.
"There was an alpha, a silver wolf, just like you. He was the only the who never see him useless or a burden. He treated master like a friend."
Gina knitted her brows. Was Tasha telling about the same man who stole the ring? The one who was the reason for her being in such a big mess.
"Few hundred years ago, he was given the duty of being a savior and he would visit the temple occasionally.
He was a gentleman and all the maids were in love with him. He had this soft smile and always helped others and he was the only one who saw young master as a person instead of being useless.
Young master also liked him a lot. They were inseparable."
Tasha paused and Gina waited for sometime for her to continue but Tasha stayed quiet.
"What happened with him?"
"No one knows. One day, he disappeared. He wasn't able to start his work as the next savior. The deity of war was very angry and accused young master of killing him. Each day was becoming worse and young master was punished by moon goddess for hundred years. Once the punishment was over, young master promised that he will find him and...." Tasha paused not wanting to say words.
"From what pack he belonged to?"
Gina could feel her heart thumping against her chest.
"White Moon pack. The same one that is down the valley." Tasha added and Gina could feel her worst fear was going to be true. Could it be that she was his reincarnation?
"Do you think I could be his reincarnated form? Do you think I am that Alpha?"
