What part of everything I just explained sounds like I'm interested in being friends with her? Didn't I make things clear enough, or is it just her? Could she really be that innocent? So much so that she can't even tell when a male is interested in her as a female? Does this even make sense?
"You think I want to be your friend?" I asked Selene, raising my eyebrow in question. She suddenly looked very uncomfortable for some reason.
Selene shifted in her seat and shrugged. "I guess. I mean, I thought you said you didn't want to see me hurt and that you felt bad when... Was I wrong? Don't you want to be friends?" she asked, and I shook my head in disbelief.
