"How'd it go?" Ratatoskr asked us as we climbed in.
"Not as well as it could have," Doc replied as he sat back. "But perhaps we may have better luck at the police department. If you would be so kind, Ratatoskr."
Ratatoskr smiled and tipped his cap before he looked ahead. The vehicle floated up and we were off on our way. I couldn't help but look out the window and down at the street. In the daylight the sinkholes looked like a pox on the road. I wondered if that wasn't too far from the truth.
