The chill of the night air had a hint of dissipation as we traveled under the lamplights. Dawn would soon approach, and I vaguely wondered if Mack would need to sleep or if he wasn't vampire enough to need that nocturnal slumber. Then again, maybe vampires didn't sleep at all.
"So I'm guessing vampires aren't popular in this world, either," I commented to my silent companion.
