Chapter 6: Just get in and get out.

“Don’t do it. You can get all new things when you get where you are going.” Cora pleaded holding onto my arm holding me back from walking out of her door. “They didn’t come back last night or try to enter the house again so they have to be up to something. I can give you cash for anything you need to replace.” I shook my head with a sad smile. “Cora, please. I can’t replace the pictures of my mother, the necklace that she got from her mother, or the few things of my besties. None of those are replaceable.” Lia yanked me into a hug and sobbed into my shoulder. “I am…gonna…gonna… miss you…” She hugged me to her hard enough it was cutting off my oxygen. “Just…get…stuff….hurry.” Cora chuckled with tears of her own in her eyes. “Lia, let her go. She needs to breath to be able to move fast.” I tried to chuckle but only a wheeze came out causing Lia to finally let go. “You do what you have to do but just know we are here for you. Call, text, build an sos fire somewhere. We got you.” “And we will help keep watch for you.” Lia added wiping her tears away. “No one will be entering that house that you don’t know about.” I shook my head already knowing that would be a bad idea. “No. No. You need to stay here and do something. Do your homework, watch a movie, do something that a teenage girl would be doing. I need you far away from this because if I get caught or they finally realize I am leaving you are the first people they will question and I need you innocent of this.” “But you aren’t leaving for a few more days, right? We have plenty of time to get our story straight.” Cora whined her wolf pleading with mine. “I haven’t been able to save you from any of your beatings unless a teacher or adult is nearby but I could help today. I pulled them both into another hug and told them I love them. I couldn’t say anymore or I would break down. I wanted those extra few days with them but I wasn’t waiting that long to leave. I was leaving after I got my stuff during the big warrior contest this evening. It wasn’t safe to wait any longer. I could feel their eyes on me until I snuck around the back of the neighbor's house taking me out of their view. My house looked like a cold black building that could suck the soul out of you. It seemed no one was home or one of my brothers could be on their video game system with headphones on. They could stay in that chair playing their games for hours and not hear anything. I just had to hope this was one of those times. Going through the house would be too loud with all the doors and the squeaky stairs so I chose to climb the tree on my side of the house and leap from one of its limbs to outside my window. Sometimes I had to sneak in so I left my window unlocked or even sometimes cracked so that I could sneak in. I especially had to do it if it was one of those nights I knew my dad had been drinking. I peeked into my room seeing that nothing was disturbed and no shadows telling me someone was there. I was glad it was daytime so I could see better in the house but being up here all exposed was sending my anxiety through the roof. The window only creaked a little as I moved it upwards. As i found my footing I felt a sense of relief but sadly it wouldn't last long. Arms wrapped around my middle as someone else shoved the window closed. “You're getting a little too brave and it's made you stupid.” A high-pitched laugh joined my brother, Evert’s as he yanked me back farther into the room. “You f****d up and it’s time to pay the price.” “Yea…No adults to stop us now and we only need to make sure you are breathing.” Tish punched me in the boob sending sparks of pain to my stomach. Evert threw me to the floor and kicked my hip. I tried to curl up into a ball before the next hit but Tish got there first sending him foot straight into my stomach. The pain made me want to throw up but that would only encourage them. “Get your hits in but then you both leave. Her and I have unfinished business.” I heard Tanner as he joined us slamming my door behind him. “Unfinished business? If you think I'm going to leave you alone with this little ditch you have got me all wrong. Know what men like you think but just because she'll be beaten to a pulp and she'll be an easy lay doesn't mean it's going to happen.” Tish kicked me again as she kept muttering w***e, slut, and a few other words I couldn't quite make out as my ears were ringing from our kick to my head. “I am not going anywhere.” Tanner growled his alpha tone coming out. “You will leave when you are told. What I do doesn’t concern you unless I tell you. You are mine and mine alone. We are not mated and as an Alpha I have the right to f**k who I want.” Oh s**t. No. He can’t…Even if I was staying I needed to be a virgin for that one alpha. Would he really do that and screw that deal with the other pack? His father would be pissed but I can’t let them know that I know. My brother crouched down near me as Tish kept bickering with Tanner. “You got our mother killed and I hope she is watching every time we hurt you. She would be so proud.” I coughed a little blood coming up and I laughed. “She…would…hate…you!” I coughed some more watching the anger reach his eyes. “She died because of Tanner! She saved me that day from his abuse and died because he and his father are little bitches!” He punched me in the face my nose breaking as blood spurted down my face. “Shut up. Shut the f**k up. You were a mistake and we should have killed you when she died!” He raised his fist to hit me again. “No. You are done. Take Tish outside and ignore all the noises coming from in here.” I turned to find Tanner smiling as he took off his jacket. “After tonight someone in this room will know their place.” Well, damn. I tried to roll over but his foot stopped me. The next thing I heard was the door slam and his shirt hit the floor. "I love it when a girl fights. Give me what I want and I might let you come on my cock."
