The second part of Noelle’s incredible story is here!

Alpha Atlas was known as a fierce and dreadful lycan by their neighbourhood packs. Their history go back to centuries when the pack used to fight demons and made alliances with vampires. But their Alphas have been cursed... Ever since they killed the vampire Queen back in the 13th century none of their Alphas found his mate. They all ended up with a chosen mate and even if their lives were happy, they never felt complete... This destiny waited for Atlas as well until one day he found his mate Dianne. Atlas didn't care about her being an Omega, he was simply happy to have her, but before they could've been together Dianne rejected him for another wolf. Atlas killed them both, he started to wander to hide from the pain and the destiny waiting for him. One day he stumbled into a rare looking fox and started to chase her until a scent hit his nose and the ray of hope shined in front of him.

Noelle lived her life the way she wanted since she was a child. No strings attached and travelling only because she wanted to. On her journey in Greece she felt a sudden urge to shift and while she was running in the woods she felt danger. Her appearance changed into what she truly was and she found herself staring at a large wolf. Their eyes locked and his glance sent a shiver down her spine...

Chapter 1
Restless Atlas "I, Dianne O'Malley hereby reject you, Atlas Brown Alpha of the Lycan Blood Pack as my mate." - her sweet voice never caused such a pain for me. I didn't understand what happened. She was always blushing ever since she was a little girl when she saw me, as a teenager I caught her many times stealing glances at me. Now that I'm her mate, something that is almost never happening to a Lycan, and it is nearly impossible for my family due to our curse, she rejects me. My wolf went through some excruciating pain but I tried to stand straight. I was a half Lycan, I was the Alpha, I had to be strong. But the pain devoured me from the inside. Dianne didn't even show a glimpse of guilt or pain. Her chocolate brown eyes, which should've meant my shelter, only showed pity. An unknown wolf walked next to my angel and only hope to break the curse. He hugged her by her waist and grinned at me victoriously. His filthy hands touching what was supposed to be mine! Now he would be the one who touches her, who kisses her, who makes her love, and whose name MY MATE will scream with lust. A low-ranked wolf, although there was something in his eyes that I still can't explain. That was too much for my wounded beast and broken soul. He took over control of our body. The last thing I remember was Dianne screaming for me not to hurt the intruder and how much it annoyed me her voice. I wanted her to shut up! And the next moment she became quiet... For forever. I woke up again in a cold sweat. What I did that night haunted me. No day could pass without my mind playing tricks with me. Whenever I saw a short blonde-haired girl I thought that maybe it was just a dream, but none of them smelled so sweet as my Dianne. My Dianne who I brutally murdered alongside her lover... I got up from my bed and stretched hearing a satisfying crack of my tired bones. I jumped into my training pants and after a quick face and teeth brush, I headed to the arena. My pack feared me since I was a teenager, but their fear increased when I ended the life of my own mate. They knew that my family was cursed, but since we had Lycan blood and we were direct family members of the Lycan King, that meant protection and safety for our pack members. As I suspected my half-brother, Cody, was already in the ring with one of our top fighters. It doesn't matter how strong and brave our fighters are, training with us is never fair play. Due to our nature, we are stronger, faster, and simply better than a regular werewolf. Our pack members loved and respected my little brother. He was a pure-blooded Lycan and he was kind to everyone. For our pack's biggest concern I became the Alpha after our father's leadership. He was the Lycan Blood Pack's Alpha for four centuries already so it was time to pass the title to his firstborn. My own father despite me, since my mother was a simple werewolf. Although he chose her as his chosen mate after a human life he never loved her or cared about her until she gave birth to me. Then a century later Cody's mom appeared. She is a Lycan beauty, also a fighter, and a great leader. Since my parents weren't bonded mates, according to our laws she could've challenged my mother for the title of the Luna. Sadly as it was expected my mother Susan lost her life in the fight. At least she had a proper funeral. Since that day Penny became our Luna and my stepmother. I wanted to hate her but whenever I did something wrong or tried to hurt her my father beat me half dead, so I got used to her. I never liked Penny, but who would like the woman who killed his mother? My hate for her was erased a bit when she became pregnant with Cody. After he was born, my family forgot about my existence, but I never blamed Cody for this. I was the half-blood, the unwanted child, or the weak Alpha. But for my mother's and my own sake I worked hard to make sure that I was worthy for the title of the Alpha. The only person I ever loved was Cody. The day when we had to fight for the title he did everything he could, but even with his true blood, he wasn't good enough to beat me. I could still hear how our pack members screamed for a rematch but, if there was something I respected my father, was that he never changed his word. He said the winner will be our Alpha and I won. Cody noticed me and our poor fighter looked at me with pleading eyes. - Hey Las! I didn't know that you are awake so early! - he was my opposite. Cheerful, funny, childish, and popular. Cody was only a century old. He was a bit smaller than I but ripped as well. His hair was dark brown like Penny's but his eyes were greys like our father's and mine. On the other hand, I had my mother's ash blonde hair and luckily I inherited her cocky smile. But I decided on the day she died that I'll only show that smile to my mate, who ended up unworthy of the prize. - Cody, don't you think that you are unfair to Chris? Look at the poor thing. Take a break, Chris! - our fighter smiled at me thankfully and jumped out of the ring before Cody could suggest a rematch. - Las... Why? - I grinned at him jumping in the ring. - I thought you wanted to train. If you want to get better. - I cracked my neck. - You need to choose a stronger opponent. - Cody smiled from ear to ear and clapped. -Hit me, show me what you can brother! Only then don't let your waist tighten! - Cody was the only one who dared to be disrespectful to me. Our parents left us when I became the Alpha, they called this retirement, I called it runaway. I named Cody as my Beta and this calmed the mood of our pack. -Oh little one, you just made a huge mistake! - I smirked and Cody's eyes widened when I rushed at him shifting into my beast in a matter of seconds. He was slow to react and soon found himself under a huge wolf beast. Cody was strong and fast, but since he was a true-blooded Lycan, our father never forced his training too much, while I worked my ass off to be better than anyone. I wanted to challenge my father for the title and I think the old man knew this, that is why he decided to pass the title. Cody hit the ground three times and I jumped off of him shifting back into my human form. I extended my arm to him and he grabbed it. I pulled Cody up and pat the top of his head. He rolled his eyes and snatched my hand away, just like when he was still a pup. - I wasn't ready. - he scoffed. Laughter busted out of my chest, which called the attention of the training fighters around us. - Devil never sleeps. - just when I ended the sentence one of our sentinels linked me. " Alpha, I see a few rouges near our borders. They didn't enter our territory but should we attack? - No need to attack them until they nowhere are their place. - Yes Alpha!" -See I told you, the devil never sleeps. - I turned back to Cody just in time to avoid a right hook. I jumped back and grabbed his arm twisting it behind his back. Cody stepped on my foot and with his free elbow, he hit me between my ribs. I chuckled. - Brother I'm ticklish! - this fuelled his anger and tried to escape harder without thinking. This was the problem with Cody, he was too impulsive and I was calculating. Cody gave up the fight and I let him from my hold. He walked to the side of the training arena and grabbed a bottle of water. He sent it down in one breathe and looked at me. Several months passed by since I killed Dianne and the result of losing my mate was visible in my appearance. I was a bit pale and purple circles formed under my eyes due to the lack of sleep. My posture was also a bit curved like I have been carrying the weight of my acts on my back. I was sure that our father decided to announce the fight for the title when I was in a shitty physical situation to assure Cody's position. The face he had when I won even in this situation was priceless and left him with no other choice. - Are you okay by the way? - Cody asked leaving aside his childish attitude. I forced a smile and lied. - Of course. Why? - he laughed. - Just because you look like someone who just got hit by a train. - I chuckled and scratched the back of my neck. -Is it so visible? - Cody nodded and we left the training fields. On our way back to the Packhouse I heard how the pack members gossipped about me. About how I killed Dianne and that maybe Cody will be the one who breaks the curse. That our father should've simply chosen him instead of the fight. I had enough and grabbed a man who just whispered to his friend about how horrible I looked. I lifted him high enough that his legs couldn't touch the ground and saw terror in his eyes. - If you have a comment to say or a problem to discuss be a man and say it into my eyes! - I growled at him and he started to tremble. His friend came to his rescue excusing in his name and telling me how sorry they were. I groaned annoyed and threw the one I was holding against the closest wall. His bones broke and he howled in pain. - Scratch together your friend. - I told to the one who prayed for his friend's life. -Yes and thank you Alpha for sparing his life! - he bowed and rushed to help his useless friend. Cody hugged me under his shoulder, for which movement he had to stand on his tip-toes. - Do you know what you need urgently? - he asked while we kept walking back to the Packhouse. - A time machine? - I asked and he laughed. - That would help, but I thought about something, a little, you know, real.- I felt like he challenged me and grinned. - Better reputation? - Cody rolled his eyes. - I said real not impossible. - we stopped at the cantina and I got out of his embrace. - Tell me Cody Brown the wise, what do I need? - I thought you would never ask! -Jump to the point kiddo. -Okay! Huh, such a party killer. What you need my dear brother is a... Drum rolls please...-he started to hit his fingers to the nearest table imitating a drum roll. - Vacation! - I tilted my head to the side and buried my face in my hands. - Of course, all I need is a vacation. Who would run this Pack while I'm drinking cocktails somewhere? - Our third in command. Chris! - Cody shouted just when poor, tired Chris entered the cantina. - Oh no! I'm not here! - he said and tried to turn back and run but Cody already caught him. - Chris was my childhood friend, he was also a half-blooded wolf but luckily his family wasn't cursed and he lived happily with his mate and their kids. -Don't be such a p***y, Chris. I just told Las that he needs a vacation to release the tired oil and by this way, he might not terrorize our pack members. - I frowned at Cody but Chris looked pensive. - Are you really thinking about his idea? - I asked in total shock and Chris shrugged. - Actually, this is the least stupid idea I've heard from Cody since... I can't even tell when. - You can't be serious... - I said with my jaw dropped, but they started to plan my vacation where my dear brother will join me... Of course... - I sighed and sat at a table. Honestly, it wasn't a bad idea but I was afraid to leave the Pack in Chris's hands and give a reason to my father to stab me in the back. While I drank my coffee I heard the gossiping again. I became so angry that my beast came to the surface. I broke the mug and it shattered into pieces. I stood up half shifted and let out a warning growl which made everyone show their necks in submission. Then I turned to Cody. - I want to go somewhere warm and far from here. - Cody jumped in his place like an excited teen girl. - This is going to be so much fun!
